GuardianUK For the past six months he has been travelling all over America, shooting Walter Salles' adaptation of Jack Kerouac's On the Road. As Sal Paradise, Kerouac's autobiographical narrator, Riley heads a cast that includes Garrett Hedlund and Kristen Stewart.
Riley had to get fit – "my mum calls me a streak of piss" – and spend four weeks in a beatnik bootcamp. He pulls a face. "Don't f--king ask." Did they all get stoned? "We were allowed to, but not encouraged. I'm a 30-year-old who used to smoke for breakfast, but the Americans smoke super-strength skunk so I stuck to my hash. Kerouac experts talked to us, we watched films, learned the difference between Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie."
And how was Stewart, star of the Twilight films, one of the biggest – and, according to the tabloids who won't leave her alone – grumpiest actors in the world? "She's just 20! The tabloids can f--k off! She wasn't grumpy at all. She was a bit of a Rapunzel character in her hotel suite, not wanting to come to the bar to spend all evening having her photo taken."

S yesterday I went to the airport to see some friends of mine off, while I was looking at the magazines I came across your chopped photo of them. Remember the one they took with the "fan" New Year? I was laughing so hard I was like check this out S's chopped photo made it to the magazines. No credits of course but never mind we all know don't we?

Bless her! But I'm not sure she minds being trapped in a hotel room with Rob! Especially when she's on location and hasn't seen him for weeks ;)
If I knew the photographer or if it were my friend, I would smile for the camera because I trust them.
In this case, random people running around to catch you in the street, I wouldn't smile either.

She is 'tangled' yeah haha. That movie reminded me of R/K, with her big green eyes and Flynn really looks like Rob.

@robstenation I need to see "Tangled" just because someone on Robsessed posted the similarities between Flynn and Rob. Sucks I can't talk to anyone about it cause they will think I'm smokin something. I wonder if my son would like it or is it just geared toward little girls?

I said it before and now it's kind of comfirmed by Sam. Knowing Kristen it must be embarrasing having people interrupting a gathering with your frinds all night. It's like that friend who speaks all time in her/his phone in the party and you have to listen to the conversations and at the and of the night you just want to throw the phone and smash it.
this mekes me cry. not because the grumpy thing, but because she s forced to give up so many things, like having a drink with friends in a bar. god, shes just 20. this is really to much for her

as victoria beckman once said, "why do celebrities have to be happy and have smiles glued to their faces all the time?" when she was asked why she was so grumpy, and nevered smiled a lot.
if an interviewer asked me why she was like that i would want to slap them, but he answered nicely.
and as someone on a vh1 special said on a show about celebs having akward moments. it was the one about her dropping the award during the mtv thing. "robert pattinson the hottest guy that every woman wants to date likes her then that's awesome. she's so real."

Like how SR protected K against papz in the Argentina airport...he seems like he's has her back. Everyone around K seems like they would go out of their way to be a friend to her...says a lot about the quality of her character!
Gotta say I love how Sam was kind of miserable while shooting OTR because he missed his wife and home. So often celebrities have to act a certain way or they'll be accused of being ungrateful. I think it's sweet that he was honest about missing her and now just wants to stay home for awhile.
@Angela I took my 8 yr old son and he liked Tangled. It def has some funny parts that he enjoyed as well as I did too! Its my first time posting but I've been reading your blog for quite some time now and love it! Thanks S for all you do. I used to google for new news about R and K but now all I do is read your blog. Yeah,I cracked up when Sam said in another interview that he and Garrett became Kristens' bg's at the airport that time...two tall lanky guys trying to protect Kristen from the fans and papps...I'm sure it's also because Kris is so tiny that they feel the need to protect her,just like Rob..
