After Henry Cavill is cast as Superman, the talks have now moved on to who will be the leading lady. Hollywood Insider has heard some names of possible Lois Lane depicter and they are Kristen Stewart ("Twilight"), Jessica Biel ("Blade Trinity"), Rachel McAdams ("Sherlock Holmes"), Dianna Agron ("Glee") and Malin Akerman ("Watchmen").
Stewart reportedly has been mentioned in relation to the part for about a week but she might not even take the role because there are many other juicy offers for her. As for Biel and McAdams, they are allegedly the leading contenders. Agron, like Stewart, has read for "The Man of Steel" movie though some might consider her too young. Akerman was also said in the contention but now that Cavill, who is younger than her, is cast as Clark Kent, her chance might be reduced to zero.
This all, however, should be considered as just rumors for neither Warner Bros. Pictures nor the actresses' camps have released statement about the report.
Zack Snyder is on board for the directing duty for the new Superman film that might be projected for December 2012 release. Christopher Nolan joins the board of producers while David S. Goyer and Jonathan Nolan are writing the script. source

Kristen's name is so powerful that any lame (esp in this case) person mentions her to get hits on their website or people tweeting them. Of all the "next role rumors", this is the one I least believe.
As always, whatever she decides to do, I will support 100%.
I saw this a little while ago, again made the mistake of reading the comments underneath, oh my, those people are quite vicious and not fans of our Kristen. I only read 1 somewhat nice comment, there were 74 at the time, I read about half and had to retreat back here....back to our sane/happy place. UGH, why are people so mean?

I don't really know how i feel about this rumour. I will support her totally whatever she decides as said by RTP_KJS_Lover but i'm not seing her as Lois...

Remember in one of the Snow White write-ups about Kristen, the author said that Kristen's career had reached the point where she no longer had to read/ audition for parts? Hmmm...wonder how much of this story is truth?
Interesting little tidbit, though, guess only time will tell what Kristen does after Breaking Dawn wraps. She's def. got the looks and the skill to be a great LL, but I think she'll have more offers than she knows what to do with and I can't wait to see what she picks!
Hmmm. This would be kins of cool. I LOVE the guy they cast as Superman. This and Snow white possibly. Kristen will have a lot of iconic characters on her resume.

While I'm all for Kristen and Henry Cavill being paired up (loved him on The Tudors), I don't think this is true. Hope they can work together someday though.
I don't see her doing that plus I hate Superman movies but will support her as always.

Isn't Henry Cavill the actor that always got beaten out by Rob, as Cedric and also as Edward? I have just started watching the Tudors reruns and saw him last night. He is very cute. I never watched the Tudors before but I think I am going to like it.
It just doesn't seem to fit the type of role Kristen would be interested in, unless it's an extraordinary and different Lois Lane charcterization. But the female leads in current superhero movies are not written very strongly, even if A-list actresses are playing them. Kristen doesn't want to play a "Bond babe", and I think this would only be one step up from it.
I like Henry Cavill (new Superman), Andrew Garfield (new Spiderman), Christian Bale (current Batman), but I'm so not excited about any of these reboot/sequel movies coming out. Even with recent, critically acclaimed or smash hit superhero movies, I haven't been overly impressed. I don't get it, just like how most males don't get Twilight. Twilight and superhero movies are guilty pleasures, but Twi and the cast gets bashed because it's a successful, female-oriented franchise and it's misunderstood by "better than thou" people's narrow-mindedness.
Love Kristen in any film! By the way, did you buy the February Vogue? Kristen is on the cover. Support you actors plaese. tx

This is so funny I was just looking at the pictures of Rob in The Bad Mother's Handbook(on Robsessed) and was thinking that he looked like Clark Kent. So, I looked to see if there was a Superman re-make in the works and found out about Cavil being cast and how he got beaten out by Rob for the Cedric and Edward roles. Too bad. I think Rob and Kristen would have made an awesome Superman and Lois Lane!

For clarification Henry Cavill never auditioned for Twilight. He was just SM's ideal choice but was too old when it came into fruition. So technically he wasn't beaten out by Rob. But there were a few guys that did lose out on playing Edward.
i would MUCH rather see her do snow white than lois lane. jmho but i can totally see her in the snow white role. lois lane, not so much.

Please, NO! There isn't a lot you can do with the Lois Lane character and sorry Superman fans (my hubby included), I'm so sick of Superman. Now, Wonder Woman, I can see. I picture Kristen as a young Diana, but I'm still batting for Snow White and the Huntsman. There's depth to this Snow White character...badass! Whatev...if Kristen's in it, I'll pay to see it.

lois lane would be awesome, she's scrappy and spunky and more itneresting than superman honestly.
And it would continue her grand tradition of kissing all of the cutest boys from Britain(we all know rob's her number one, but henry cavill is no slouch in the romantic lead department!)
Also, I dont' think she has to audition for the most part. But it's not uncommon to have actresses come in once the lead is secured and to test the lead against the different girls to get a read on chemistry between them. I wouldn't be surprised if she was in LA recently doing just that with henry cavill if she was interested in the part.

ICAM! I am over Superman. As a matter of fact, I was never really into that series. I also don't think we need a Spiderman reboot this soon (Sorry Andrew and Emma, I adore you both but it's too soon after Tobey and Kirsten's version). Anyways, I much rather Kristen play Snow White over Superman. Even though from that one picture I saw of that Superman, he's kinda cute. They love pairing Kristen with the Brits!
I hoped they're not using Kristen name for publicity.God knows how many time her name were used for all these prospect movies.

Like others who have said.. I will support her with whatever she chooses although I don't know if I can picture her as Lois Lane as much as I can picture her as snow white.
Oh and this is the very same Henry Cavill who lost the roles of Edward (Twilight) and Cedric (Harry Potter) to our Mr. Pattinson.

Just one more attention seeker, rumour spreads etc. There's no way Kristen jumps into a big franchise so soon, BD is not even finished. Plus she's way too young to play LL. Not sure about Snow White, it's possible, but THIS is bs. Ps: don't go over ONTD. It's painful. Kristen's camp needs to confirm her next project NOW and stop this. She's making PR team's HW job so easy, namedropping for the win.
Seeing the other choices, I don't think she is a good choice, because all the other actresses are almost 30 or a little older than 30! It just doesn't sound reasonable to consider a 20 year old among a bunch of 30 year olds for the same part, because clearly the right choice would be them, since they are the majority! But I don't know, I'm just thinking if she is right in regards to the technical aspect of the fim! Anyway I don't really know what to say generally about the project and the prospect of her taking that role! I just want to wait until we hear the official word!

My honest opinion...I am not sure if this role seems like a Kristen role to me. I don't see her playing Lois Lane. Sorry...I am sure its just a rumor.

Malin Åkerman is born 1978. Rachel McAdams is also born 1978, so if Åkerman is to old for the part McAdams would be too, right?
I have a problem seeing Kristen as Lois Lane. A woman in distress... That's so not Kristen. Not even Bella. I could def. see her as Superman though! Lol
