8. Robert Pattinson
The 23-year-old actor, born and raised in London, thought he'd hit the big time when he landed his first blockbuster role playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth installment in the Harry Potter series. But it wasn't until Pattinson was picked to play seductive vampire Edward Cullen in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga that he got the chance to really sink his teeth into Hollywood. Since then, he's sparked a Beatlesque frenzy among Twihard fans and written an alternative, dark and intense chapter in the annals of U.S. pop culture. Now if we could only figure out whether or not he's single.

OK. Where was the fact checker? Sure it's trivial but they should've gotten his age right. For some reason it bothers me that there are people still questioning his relationship status. Technically he's single because he's not married but it should be obvious to everyone by now that he's with Kristen. It would've been better if the last line was left out of the little write-up altogether. Rob has definitely secured his place in pop culture but we all know he's more than that.

Sometimes I think they still like to use the "single" angle,because some fans aka Nonstens,want to fantasise that he's single and not exculsive with anyone. I guess Time.com needs an updated memo sent to them that Rob and Kristen are in a committed relationship and have been for a very long time. Rob's not a swinging bachelor,looking for anything with a pulse. His heart belongs to Kristen and some people can't handle that little dose of reality.

@Theresa I think the last line about if he's single was meant as tongue-in-cheek. I guess sarcasm doesn't always translate well on the written page.
I don't think everyone does know he is not single. Big fans do but I don't think the entire public follows it enough to know. I know people that don't follow it and ask me if he is dating someone or not when they see him on TV or such. I think ANON at 7:24 is right. I think they said that because of all the stories out there about he is, he isn't he is, he isn't and are trying to be funny and are kind of like almost saying they wish someone would tell them because they probably hear things but there really are some people that don't research it all day and find out if it is true or not.
@Anon 7:24 I can see it could be taken that way also. But yeah, it doesn't translate well on the page. I'm definitely aware of that because unless it's obvious, I state that I'm being sarcastic.

I agree that it's the reality they can't get their heads around.
Someone should have done a little more research and got their facts straight. If you look at the list of the top ten, it was an honor for Rob to be on it. Our boy is no longer a boy but a man who just keeps getting better and better.

I agree with anon 7:40. I think fans of Rob and Kristen would know that they were dating because they are following their personal life and careers but other people wouldn't really. People mostly believe what they read in the newspapers and see in the media. I think most people wouldn't even know stuff like they spent NYE in IOW together because it wasn't broadcast. Plus Rob and Kristen haven't actually confirmed that they are dating. No hating. I don't expect them to and its fine with me. My point is though whenever I tell my family and friends they're together, they just ask "Have they announced this?"
