USA Today Newly married Reese Witherspoon says she could learn a thing or two about fame from Water for Elephants co-star Robert Pattinson.
Did she try to give him advice? "Me?!" she gasped to USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell via phone. "If anything I'd probably be asking his advice. He has, like, military tactics to avoid paparazzi. It's pretty incredible the operations that go on."
In the film (a tan!) R-Patz takes a break from hunky vampire Edward Cullen to join the Water for Elephants' 1930s-set circus. And while Reese says her kids are still too young for Twilight, the age range of fans camping out by the Water for Elephants set was unbelievable. "I've worked with a lot of people but I've never seen the amount of attention or paparazzi or just fans camped out on the edge of the set ever in my whole life," she says. "There'd be little, little girls camped out, 7-year-olds with their parents at 4 o'clock in the morning. Five o'clock in the morning we'd pull off of set - I was bleary eyed and there'd be 10 women waiting on the roof of their cars just trying to see him."

Well according to Rob/Kris they are good hiders. And they will do it again and again.Good for them.I'm sure they have help from people they can trust.
not military ninja. im impressed too. its cool how him and even kristen are able to avoid the pap people.
sometimes i get online and here they are in los angeles and all i can think is how they get by without being photographed?
sucks they have to go out of their way to avoid being mobbed.
from kevin.
Crazy!
I live in Port Allen, LA and when they were in Baton Rouge my friends and I didn't bother being at their set at wild hours just to try to see them.
It would have been sweet to see them in person, but I didn't want to hunt them down.
Everytime there was a sighting of any of the cast I'd get excited, cause I knew where the places that they were at were.
Anyone that sits in all kinds of weather at all hours of the day, or night good luck.
7 year olds at 4 o'clock in the morning?!?! So, there are women taking their babies out to participate in foolishness?! I have heard it all!
I'm really glad whenever Rob and Kristen are able to avoid the papz. I cannot imagine how awful it would be to be followed by those bottom feeders. Anyhoo, Happy WFE promo weekend everyone! :)
@Ashley ITA What are these people doing encouraging their 7yr olds to lust after grown men all hours of the night? It's just as wrong as if it were the other way around.
@ Anon 8.25& Ashley- ITA! that is really absurd and overboard!
As much as i love Rob, Kristen and taylor, I still have respect for them and myself not to do something ridiculous like that.
Y
i knew that some fans go overboard in their addiction to the actors, but 4am with 7 year olds(that should be in bed) come on!its insane and totally silly.a child first role model is a parent and if this is how the parents behave, i dunno!
"military tactics to avoid paparazzi" HAHAHAHAHAHA
ROBSTEN ARE TRAINED BLACKBELT NINJAS. HAHAHAHAHAH
I see parents acting ridiculous every day at the school where I work. Mom's trying to look too young like their daughters, Dad's having hissy fits because their son didn't get to play enough in a basketball or football game. But, parents dragging small children around just to get a glimpse of Rob is insane. I am a huge fan, but only from a distance...as I should be.
totally agree Mel, one should act his age, i mean i am a bit crazy over here at times, but when you have kids you have to put them first and think before behaving in a certain manner. yeah being a fan from a distance is best. i would hate it if my son had to see me in histerics over something like this, totally ridiculous.
@Mel, ITA, too. I'm a fan, a huge fan, love those two kids and the Twilight series and anything either of them do so far. But, I draw the line at hunting them down or camping out wherever they might be. That's never going to happen. I'd never follow them to work or home or anywhere. I live in a town where movies are continually being made. Stars are sighted here all the time, down the street even but I've yet to see one of them. Billy Burke was here for a few months. I knew exactly where he was because the news was out there everywhere, even by him, but I didn't run down there because I didn't want to impose. The majority here give the stars their space so they can relax and enjoy themselves when they're not working. The word here is don't treat them any differently than anyone else, a little respect and Southern hospitality goes a long way. Rob and Kristen have made it abundantly clear how they feel about being approached or filmed or photographed while they are filming or on personal time. Off limits is off limits and that time is off limits. Sure they'll stop anyway because they love their fans, but when you think of the moments stolen from them when that happens, it's just not worth it in the face of all they give, or rather all they give up for all of us. Press time and premieres and fan events like Comic Con and others are for fans. There's more than enough of that for every fan who wants to see them in person to see them. That's enough. It's not fair to R & K to expect more. They already give more than should be humanly possible as it is.
@lala/c, @RockFan, Amen my Robsten sisters!
