There's a 2:30 showing at my theater and I'm going to be there sharply on time. I've waited a whole year to see this film and I wouldn't miss it for the world. Nice way to begin the Easter holiday with a cool period film, featuring our debonair Robowski as the hero.
The first thing I thought about when I woke up this morning S! I'm certain all the interviews, premier pics & news you've provided us with has made me even more excited. I'm sure lines will be long today. Bummer that I won't see movie until Monday but @ the 4:00 show my bestie and I should just walk right in. How will I be able to endure the wait! Should have never promised her I wouldn't see the movie without her. Everyone have a great time @ the movies today. No swooning in the aisles, and don't drink anything either. No pee breaks allowed for this movie!
There's a 6:00 pm. today friday showing at my theater in here Finland :) and I'm going!!
I've been here for awhile and love this sight! I have never seen Rob on the big screen (didn't find Twilight until last September) and I can't wait until tonight - the hub and I planned this as soon as I knew the date - I am jumping up and down in anticipation! He just laughs! Will let you know! Oh, btw, I crochet, does that count? Thanks, S, you are a marvel!
I went to the midnight showing for the movie. It was Amazing! Rob was sooo beautiful. He did an amazing job. I cried in the movie. And I punched my friend every time Jacob(Rob) , Rosie , or any of the other animal got hurt. It was A beautiful movie totally worth seeing. Rob was so cute when he was drunk. :D
It's 5:48 here and I'm still up. I'm still jiddy after seeing the movie.
first of all i have to say that your blog is the most amazing site i've ever seen. thank you for your devotion and love. i hope you will keep this blog alive for a long long long time, so we all are able to share our thoughts & support. you're unbelievable s. thanks again.
now to the movie:
i wouldn't miss it either. just went with my family to a great zoo with inspiring, amazing animals, wich included of course elephants, zebras and giraffes ;D huge animals but still graceful - unbelievable. i totally get why rob talks about these creatures with so much love & respect. i'm from germany, so excuse me for my mistakes :D can't wait to see the movie which opens on april 27 (at least in my area). but i have the feeling that its going to be amazing!
I'm so excited to see this movie and to support Rob, I'm gonna have to drag everyone to see it w/ me. It if means dragging a homeless guy, I will:)
i am taking my 84 yr old mom to a matinee.she loves Rob too
Hey. I'm from Sweden and I've seen the film.
I think you'd miss out on something if you don't go and watch the movie. If you've read the book, like I did, you won't be disappointed at all.
A good movie, indeed.
Rob is superhot in the movie and Rosie really stole the show.
A great watch and I'm sure you'll love it.
Love from Selma
I'll be going to see it tomorrow. My mom was supposed to go with me, but can't now. I'd love for my hubby to go with me, but he will have to keep the kids while I see it by myself! Maybe I can get someone to go with me when I see it the second time! I can't wait, I've been looking forward to it since last summer!
1:30 today for me, WOO HOO!! I will report back as soon as I return and can peel my children off of me long enough to sit down at the computer :)
It's my birthday and seeing it tonight with my friend I'm so excited i can't wait!! I have a feeling this will be reallly good, and not just because our sexy man is in it lol
Going to see it at 12:40pm today!!
With friends of coarse <3
I am SO looking forward to it. 5 more hours for me. I am going with my sister-in-law and my best friend and then tomorrow night with my DH. I have a good feeling about this one too. Happy viewings, ladies!!!!

Happy Birthday Anon 10.01! What a great bday gift. Its me & my husbands 65 months dating anniversary today ;- ) (No we dont still count every month, just acknowledge it sometimes.)
Im going tonight at 8 with 2 friends. They're not RobSten fans, or even Rob fans for that matter. But one of them read the book and the other is just going along for the ride. I dont have any RL RobSten friends :- ( Except my 10 year-old niece, but she's more of just a Twilight fan. She wants to see it but my sister wont let her until she sees it herself since its PG13, which is probably for the best.
Im not reading any more critics reviews until after I see is because I KNOW it will be AMAZING!!
Fellow MOTU readers, Im sad that its over :- ( I dont think I could ever get sick of it. Kinda cool that it ended around the same time as the films wrapped though, I guess. Im holding out hope for a part III in the future!!!

Im going alone. I have to wait till my husband get off from work. We have three small kids and I dont want anybody upset with us for the kids being loud. And beside I need some me time anyway and what a better way to see Rob without interruption.
In here (Portugal) we have to wait until May 5th and we're already pining to see the movie. I already have two dates set to go see this movie but I'm betting I'm going to see it more than two times...=)
WAHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO I just planned my WFE get away @10:00pm showing after kids asleep, hubby not super happy but AHH well I found a friend still in town and we are GOING~!!!! How can I make it through today?I am working my tail off in Jacob fashion,a lot of manual labour in the garden and in the home...dirt and sweat pre-show(keeps my mind busy too). @Jean, drunk Rob,AHH,I've been waiting to see that scene.

I will be supporting 'the pretty' on Saturday in Toronto. Woo Hoo, so excited!
It is too bad we can't see WFE in Indonesia, due to bad situation involving movie taxes...*sigh
I'm so happy for Rob and WFE, but it's also bittersweet coz knowing I have to wait for DVD ( or else fly to another country to see it? :P)
Have fun to you all, I'm sure WFE is great and Rob is amazing as Jacob! Thank you S for all updates <3
Gigi
oops that cut-off @Deanie love that your 84 year old mom loves Rob!
At my AMC they had a 10:10 am showing. So I got up and went to see it by myself.Loved it! Everyone was so good in it and the feel of the movie was terrific. It felt like the Depression.Loved Hal Holbrook at the beginning and the end. I am going to see it again this weekend with friends. Rob was just perfect in itp
I will be going Saturday during the day. Was going today but had to have my car taken in to be fixed, ughhh, so delayed it until Sat. Can't wait. And will give my thoughts after.
Hey, S? Did you post the moviefone interview with Rob and Reese already? Because I just found a link to it on Youtube and I was wondering why I didn't see a post about it on here.
Weren't all the train scenes filmed in Chattanooga? I've been to this beautiful town many times and this looks like the track that has the panoramic mountain behind it. How great for the people of Chattanooga, TN (Go VOLS) to see their gorgeous city portrayed so well! Beautiful man sitting on that track!
@Anon 2.29 You just missed it. The Moviefone interview is the Unscripted interview, which was posted April 19th. Just check the post links at the sidebar.
Loved the movie and Rob was le`sight! ;) i stare at him the whole movie :D
sorry my english i wish i can write better!!!!! Hugs for S.!
and i was too alone :( meaning no frends made it, but stil loved the movie :)
My theatre had a 10:05am showing and went to see it w/ my Mom. We both loved it.Rob was absolutely fantastic in it. I want to see it again , I think I may have missed half of the actual movie due to my ogling Rob.
Just got back from the movie and it was absolutely beautiful! Rob was phenomenal, he blew me away with his performance. He really shows the world what a brilliant actor he is. He's a perfect Jacob. There are so many layers to his performance, it's just fantastic.
Everyone, go see it as fast as you can--it's wonderful!!!!
@gigi that's terrible news. Have you really checked? You can go to Malaysia. Hongkong will be on the 5th! Waiting is like forever!!
Mujhiko:)
I went this morning, what a delight. He did not disappoint on any level. The movie stayed true to the book and was just so good. I'll be back tomorrow - so, so good.
Well girls...have a great day and enjoy the movie and Rob in particular!!! I'll just have to do some knitting for Rob this weekend since I can't see the movie yet...will anyone join me?
Maybe as a consolation prize the girls who don't get to see Rob in WFA this weekend should get a free drink. If you are around Dan, what do you say? Is it a deal?
I am speechless. The movie was spectacular and Rob was also. Going back tomorrow to see what I didn't see today because I couldn't take my eyes off Rob, then going back Sunday to see the whole thing over again. Already pre-ordered my CD from Amazon.
I'm back, girls!! I ended up going alone because my sister ended up getting called into work at the last minute (she's not a big Rob fan, seems suspicious, hmmmm...LOL)....anyway, I went alone and didn't mind at all; sitting in a dark theater for two hours under the spell of Robowski--it was an awesome way to spend an afternoon!! And I managed to keep myself in my seat and not assault the screen--I was so immediately swept up in the story that I forgot I was supposed to tackle Rob onscreen. Damn.
I truly loved the movie, it is beautifully done. The cinematography alone deserves an award-- simply gorgeous. I was in tears in several places, and not necessarily sad places, just from the beauty of the movie, the emotions conveyed, how wonderfully close they stayed to the book. It was great.
Rob is excellent in it, with an amazing American accent, not to mention dirty, scruffy Rob is every bit as hot as we'd imagined!! OMG. Seriously swoon-worthy. He does a wonderful job as Jacob--completely believable, endearing, genuine--anyone who thinks this guy can't act after this movie just can't be reasoned with. He holds his own with Reese and Christoph, and it looks effortless. Seeing how well he did makes me even more excited to see his future movies--please, please announce a date for Bel Ami, I need it now!
Reese was great--perfect combination of strength and weakness, and beautiful as well. As worried as some people have been that she's too "old" for the role, I thought she looked perfect.
Christoph is simply phenomenal--if an Oscar nomination for an actor comes out of this, it will be for him--he just defies words portraying August.
Hal Holbrook was just great as old Jacob, as well. Tears, tears, tears. So sweet.
I could go on more, but since this post is practically a novel, (sorry S), I'll just say again that I loved it and I will see it again!!
I'm going at 8:00 I'm so excited, can't wait to wacth WFE!!
saw the movie earlier this week (monday) and I thought it was awesome! :D
@Sharilee, I should just go alone too. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your take on the movie and performances. Thanks!
Went to see it with my daughter this morning and I loved it! they stayed true to the book which I am happy about because the book was awesome. They all played their parts so well and Rob being the leading man did not disappoint. I have to go back and see it again!
So annoyed we have to wait until 2nd May in England to watch it! So. Excited.
I just saw WFE and I can't say enough good things about it. Rob was fantastic. He give such a genuine, subtle, nuanced performance. ITA @sharilee, anyone who says Rob can't act is completely negative and biased and can't see logic. Rob totally held his own with Reese and Christoph. Rob should be really really proud of his work. He will only continue to get better and better. He will have an acting career for as long as he wants it. And of course, he looked absolutely STUNNING in it. I really loved him dirty and sweaty! Christoph was really well cast in the movie. He is such a good actor. He brings out the crazy like no one else can without going over the top about it. Reese is a really good actress but to be honest, I have to say her character came off a little too stand-offish for me. A bit too cold. I think she could have conveyed falling in love with Jacob more convincingly. But she wasn't bad in it.
The movie was SO beautifully shot, the crew did a beyond wonderful job. All under the fantastic direction of Francis Lawrence. All in all I really loved WFE. I am SO proud of Rob. I am SO excited for the future of his career. He is truly a talented talented man with a very bright future ahead of him. <3
Went to a noon showing - I like going when not many people are there (tons of people were in line to get in at 2PM however). All I can say is I totally loved it and I felt, as a fan of the book, that they followed the plot very closely. Very well acted and I think this is going to be Rob's big breakaway roll from Twilight. WTG WFE!!!
I just came back from my showing and it was brilliant! Loved the entire film,it really captured the spirit of the book perfectly. Rob and Reese were fantastic as Jacob and Marlena and Christoph Waltz was the perfect villian as August. I know Reese is ten years older than Rob,but you don't notice it in the film and their scenes together are very touching and beautiful. Will definitely see it again very soon. Two thumbs way up!
Just saw WFE,god, Rob was good in this movie and he's so handsome.Me and my friends cannot get enough of him, will see this movie again tomorrow with my crazy friends.
Absolutely loved the movie! Awesome! Beautiful! Moving! Rob is fantastic and certainly holds his own with Reese & Christoph! Couldn't wait so I went on my own--and like Sharilee said it was wonderful to be in a dark theatre all alone with handsome Rob on the screen. I will definitely go back to see it again.
Katie (Canada)
Jane is so funny - going to see the movie 3 times this weekend and already pre-ordered the DVD (??) or did you really mean CD?? Anyway, that is so cute. I should not laugh because if he is as gorgeous as I know he is going to be, I will probably do the same thing, ROFL.
Cindyqc at 11:26 am, I am going alone also since you were asking people. The only ones that would be "free" are guys and they don't want to go because they are calling it a chick flick (and people are not blowing each other up) so they won't go so I said forget them, I am going by myself - anything to see Rob. So, I am going Saturday during the day and like Jane, since Rob will probably be too gorgeous to resist, I bet I end up back there Sunday, LOL.
I CANT WAIT TILL 7:00!! its going to be fan-freakin-tastic!! but i have to ask, is there some intimate innapropriate scenes there? i know its PG 13 and im going with my 13 year old daughter and i dont want it to be awkward you know. like in Remember Me, the movie was awesome but it was pretty awkward for her. she really wants to see this movie *SO DO I!!* cause obviously she loves Rob ....and reese as well :)
What a beautiful movie!!!!! I went to the first showing today with my mom and 87 year old grandmother who was a teenager in the 30's. Grams said it was so realistic in the period and she loved the movie. It was so beautiful, the costumes and the cinematography was fantastic! Rob was AMAZING!!!!! his performance was outstanding. Rob really showed his acting chops in this film! a totally different rob, not a trace of edward, amazing acting! a definite must see!
it was allright..BYE!
haha, PSYCHE!! Jk...It was FAB U LOUS!! OMG sharilee, you said it all bb!! & I did behave, shocking!!haha...
@Anon 7.34 Don't worry, there's nothing you and your daughter cant handle. I'm an adult and there are scenes (from other movies) that I still feel awkward watching with my mom. lol I mean awkward will always be just that 'awkward'.
Just saw Water for Elephants with a friend of mine and we cried at the end and the audience applauded! I absolutely loved the movie and I highly recommend it and not just because of Robert! He is of course, wonderful in it, as we all knew he would be, but the entire movie is just perfect! Loved it! Please go see it! You won't regret it!
haha, I'm all giddy after watching WFE!! AW @Ina, I'll knit w/ya bb! something for Rob definitely~~he worked so hard on this movie...& yep, we need our drinks from Dan! YO Dan, where's my pina colada dude? Ina, what'll you have? It's Friday & we have to start off the wknd right! OMG, what a way to start it~~the movie was AWESOME & the hubs just loved it too gang~~I was so happy:) & yes, I did the girl thing & cried a little @the end...I'll watch it again & again...as many times as I can go...Yo BesideYou bb!! well, I didn't jump the screen or anything.haha, as much as I wanted to...I behaved, WHEW! Rob, Reese & Christoph were all fantastic...RUN if you have to gang to see it!! ALOHA to all:)//||\\
Getting ready to see the movie in 20 minutes .there are 6 in our group. We are so excited. I get to see another one of my favorite books come to life with rob in them:)
Saw WFE today--Breathtakingly beautiful!! I agree with sharilee the cinematography is award-worthy as well as the costume designs. Everything felt so authentic--you really are transported. The shocker for me was Christoph. I have not seen any of his movies--Holy cow was he good in this. He brought so many layers to the character of August. Hal Holbrook was terrific too--really got the tears flowing. I have to agree with Calihi27 about Reese. I love her movies & was very excited to see her performance. But, I thought it was a bit one note, especially compared to the book--she looked beautiful though. Most of the chemistry between Jacob & Marlena was definitely generated by Rob. The way he looked at her was so believable you could feel the attraction building. I thought Rob & Christoph had great chemistry--they had great scenes together. But the real chemistry that jumps off the screen is Rob & the elephant's. You have no doubt that Jacob adores Rosie and would risk his life to save her. Like a lot of people said--loved drunk Jacob & the morning after his drunken escapades is hilarious. I wish I had a pause button so I could stare just a little longer. LOL
BTW took my sister who had never even seen a picture of Rob. While we were waiting for the movie to start I outted my Rob obsession to her & explained "the power of Pattinson". I believe at one point I called him a "panty poofer" LOL. Anyway, the movie started & the tickettaker kid with the nose rings came onscreen & she leaned over to me and said "Is that the guy?" I almost fell out of my seat laughing. I told her "No, you'll know when Rob comes on screen--I will grab your knee" Well let's just say she's lucky to still be walking. But I wasn't the only one. There were audible gasps in the theater when Rob first appeared. I have never seen Rob look so good. If tan, dirty, sweaty Rob doesn't do you in, Tuxedo Rob will finish you off. I can't wait for the DVD so I can pause & rewind. My sister loved WFE--she knew nothing about it(I kept it secret). She thought it was about elephants in Africa-LOL. She loved it so much she planned to go again & take one of her friends who couldn't come along today. I think we have a convert, ladies! I promised her on Easter Sunday I would bring her my copy of the first Twilight book & "Remember Me" DVD--or as I called it, her RPatz starter kit. Seriously, can't say enough good stuff about the movie. The ending especially is ah-may-zing!
@Mel from Texas My sister wanted to buy me snacks & a drink at the theater--I refused--no bathroom breaks for me!!
@sharilee You restrained yourself without anyone for support? So proud of you!!
I am so frustrated that I couldn't see the movie today (Friday) but I will see it this weekend no matter what. The "Rotten Tomatoes" review number is lower than I thought it would be but the "audience reviews" is very high and most of them say "what the heck are some of those bad reviewers talking about; the movie was moving, beautiful and striking so I can't wait to see it. I'm just a bit worried about Rob. I hope he doesn't want to leave acting because of all the pressure and stress of no privacy, his belongings in storage spaces everywhere, always living in hotels, not being able to buy a permanent home, every move he makes is scrutinized and videotaped. I just hope the paparazzi attention will someday slow down so he can live a bit more normally.
@Malia, you crazy girl! You're LOL funny!
Sorry forgot: I went on about how gorgeous Rob looked in this movie & I can't remember if I discussed his acting. He was superb as Jacob. But I've always resented criticism of his acting and think he plays all of his roles differently. He embodies the character of Edward perfectly & he has commented repeatedly that the vampire makeup makes using your face to express emotions difficult because it cracks & needs retouched. But regardless, Edward is sullen & brooding & everything Rob portrays him to be. I loved Rob's quote in the USAToday interview "I always see things like, 'Can he act or not?' It's like, I'm nothing like Edward. What do you think I'm doing in that?" Hopefully, WFE will put that question to rest for the doubters.
Just saw the movie today! And I am not disappointed at all!! Everyone was amazing! Christoph was incredible (always is), Reese was amazing, and Rob...Rob delivered and I'm very proud of him!! I don't care what people say about him, but I for one think that he's a great actor. I am planning to watch the movie again, and I'm very happy that I enjoyed it!!
I have really enjoyed reading everyone's comments! I cannot wait to see it and all the great comments got me through the day. @Misty, good girl for not drinking anything. I'll give my opinion Monday night after seeing WFE! The only time I've ever been this excited to see a movie was when I went to see Eclipse. So happy for all of you that have seen WFE & loved it!
I just got home from seeing WFE, it was breathtaking. Rob looked gorgeous and he did such an amazing job. Everyone clapped at the end of the movie and it was a full house, such an amazing experience!
@ Misty, I did drink a soda during the movie, but I refused to leave to go to the bathroom, needless to say I ran to the bathroom as soon as it ended. LOL
TS
wow.I just saw the movie and I am breath taken. It was so beautiful! And Robert did an amazing performance and Reese and Christophe too! Wow, I think the movie deserves an Oscar, it was so magical and beautiful!
Just saw the movie and absolutely loved it. Truly beautiful and Rob was fantastic!!! Saw it in Manhattan where movie goers can be highly critical but when it was over the audience applauded. Might have to see it again....
Hi Mel bb!! Yep, I'm still on a high f/watching WFE & Robowski~~they're not enough words to describe how handsome he looks & how much I loved his performance~~YA HOO WEEEEEEEE!! Hugs sweetie!!:)//||\\
haha Misty! "if tan, dirty, sweaty Rob doesn't do you in, then Tuxedo Rob will finish you off" HAHAHAHAHA...AMEN to THAT sister!....loving all the peeps comments :)//||\\
Just got back. Movie was great. I'm so proud of our boy. The entire cast was super. Can't wait to see it again. What's almost better than Edward...I'll tell ya...dirty, sweaty Jacob Jankowski...lol....Robert was exceptional!
ok i am trying not ot read your comments girls, it will take me some time to see the film.Dan where is my margarita, i am over the fasting period, well technically i am supposed to wait for Sunday but i will have a virtual drink, lol.ladies do not read critics, i always compare film to a bottle of wine, expensive or not its the taste that counts and we all have different tastes no? i for one did not like many films that were supposed to be good and did well at the box office, so.see ya
ok S i take it you did not get my comment to delete the Carmen post, lol that was from me but my friend's account, i am at work, it was a mistake, sorry, i wrote another one.
Yo /c, you're @work ay,lol...poor Dan's overworked w/all of our virtual drink orders,haha:)//||\\
thank S, you are a gem
yes Malia graveyard shift, lol if anyone needs some blood give me a call, lol
I went to the midnight show last night and it was SPECTACULAR!
I loved it! Jacob is SUCH a great guy; get ready to fall in love with him. Do they make em' like that in real life? I certainly hope so. ;)
What makes me especially happy is I'm pretty sure all of the other (non-Robsessed) people in the audience loved the film too. Our theater was PACKED - with a surprisingly diverse mix of demographics. Everyone laughed, there was a moment where literally everyone gasped, and there was even an applause at the end. So it seems as though it was well received by everyone! :)
Again, no spoilers please. We don't want to spoil the movie for our other friends here. I will make a post this week dedicated for your 'spoiler filled' comments lol.
Another reminder, this special post is not a 'chatbox' *winksatyouladies*
I'll be out for a couple- Be back in a short while.
@lala lol Bb you're funny. I believe you can delete your comment by yourself. Kofi is sexy, btw.
Just came back from watching WFE...FANTASTIC MOVIE!! Rob outdone himself, Christoph was amazing, Reese was awesome and Tai...OMG!! I love Tai..I have fallen in love with her. Rob was fantastic...had to add that again. Its a must see movie. Thanks Rob, Christoph, Tai, Reese and Francis for a great movie!!!
I was blown away. Rob was amazing in this film. The clown scene was one of my favs. One of my friends came with me during the opening weekend and she also loved the film. She was not a Rpattz fan until now. She says he has potential in an actor.
really i can delete it S?, oh did not know that, lol sorry for the trouble than. i will let Kofi know you think he is sexy haha
and glad you think i am funny and not boring, lol oh well boring is good as well.hmmmm
@TS Wish you were in my theater. Apparently the rows surrounding me didn't know how to hold it. I wanted to start handing out Depends.
@lala Offering up blood? Have you been reading too much Twi & MI? You better watch out-you might just have a Volturi or Raphael show up at your door. LOL
Sorry S! Guilty chatterbox here. *hangs head in shame* I'm just so hyped up after WFE & these ladies(& gents) are too much fun!
Awww-simply spectacular. Rob was lovely and luscious. He did an amazing job. So happy for him as this will surely solidify his carer.
yeah Misty lol, but thats where i work hon, testing blood, lol my dad calls me a vampire some times, lol
It's Holy Week here in the Philippines so I still have to wait until May 4 to watch WFE. I'm excited to see Rob again in the big screen! - dazzledlot
Well done, Rob; Well done!!!!
"clapping enthusiastically"
What a fantastic movie and well worth the wait.
@sharilee, @calihi27, @misty..all of you lovely ladies summed up the movie perfectly. Rob just continues to hone his acting chops and Christoph and Reese were the perfect partners in this magnificent show. Superb cinematography; you can feel the grime and dust of the ground; the steam and stink of animal manure and the disheveled appearances of the circus hands. I lurve the period clothing on Rob; it brings out his manliness and au naturel beauty.
@lala/c, do you work in a lab? The blood comment caught my eye. I just love Kofi's new pose.
I salute you, S. You have been truly magnificent yourself during these past week with your untiring attention to Rob's special events. What would we have done without you....
Happy Easter to one and all but most esp. to my favs here: dear twlightnan, lala/c, malia,
calihi27, rockfan (where are you-have you watched the movie yet?), misty, sharilee. I may not comment that frequently anymore but I enjoy your comments everyday.
So it seems like I am not the only on a high after seeing the movie, lol Malia! I love it so much! Everything about it was amazing. Rob...ahhhh ....no words... It was amazing to witness at the end how all the people in the movie theater clapped and yell "bravo" as if Rob were there *proud grin*. This movie is worth watching over and over again forever!!!!
Did I say that I love it?? lol I will love one of the margaritas or pina coladas that some of you have in mind but at this point I will settle with some chamomille tea....I need to calm down :D

I went into this movie expecting to love it and it was even better than I was expecting. Rob was amazing as always! It was visually beautiful. It really transported you to another time and place. All the actors were great. Loved Rosie (Tai). I loved that they stuck so closely to the book because I loved the book. Loved the ending (stuck with the book).
please no spoilers :) it's for those who still haven't seen the film till 4th of may.lucky you guys :) am getting more excited after i'd read your comments, im so jealous i wish am living in u.s too :)
- emvee from manila
Wow, the comments are great, so happy that everyone is loving the movie!
Just a comment on Reese's performance, and this is my opinion only: I thought she played Marlena as a very carefully controlled woman who has been in a controlling relationship==she's very careful to not do anything upsetting, etc because she never knows what's going to set her husband off. I agree that most of the chemistry is generated by Rob, but even though her response is controlled, I do think the chemistry is there, it's just understated and controlled. I can see how that makes her character come off as cold-ish, but I thought Reese did a good job bringing that abused part of her character to the screen. JMO, again :)
Working all weekend girls, sigh. Will check in as I can. Can't wait to see more opinions! Can't wait to see the movie again myself.
GO US fans !
made WFE a success !!
here in France,
WFE release date is May 4th
so we will join your engagement soon LOL !
and BEL AMI will release in June
so we are ready et very impatient !!!
sorry for my bad english
I saw the film yesterday at a 1:00 p.m. showing that was full. Everyone clapped at the end, which you don't get that often. The movie was spectacular. Great performances from everyone, You are really transported back to the 30's. I plan to go back today. The numbers from yesterday were higher than expected and we all need to pitch in to make it a great weekend. Rob was wonderful and I hope that it helps to break him out of the Twilight genre.
If this post is gonna be gone in a few days, where will all these comments go? JW
The movie was really good! Maybe Im just a "little" too invested in K/R's relationship but its getting harder for me to see him with other girls...but thats my problem not theirs. Ive also thought this from the beginning, that someone younger should have played Marlena. I pictured her younger in the book and their relationship is a bit of a stretch for me but that could go back to my investment in K/R, who knows?
You can definitely tell which scene they did when Rob did the Golden Globes, and he was sick there too which makes sense. But I dont think I would have noticed if I didnt know so much.
All the girls screamed the first time he came on screen which I didnt expect for this movie. Everyone laughed at Hal Holbrook, he's quite funny in it. And they all clapped at the end which was cool.
I never saw Inglorious Bastards, I just know that Cristoph Waltz won the academy award for that. Actually I dont think Ive ever seen him in aything but he is so perfect for that character! He is exactly as I pictued him in the book.
I definitely agree with the makeup artist that while Rob cleans up good, he dirties up just as GOOD!
Tai was relly great, too :- )
ROBSTEN FOREVER
@twiola, I've missed you & so glad to see you commented. @twilightnan, hang on girl May 4 will be here before you know it. @ Malia, betcha you're still riding high this am! Happy Easter to S & all my buddies here in our nation!
Hi - i'm on here everyday checking the latest, i never comment but i saw WFE and it was really good, proud of Rob, theater wasn't that crowded so we need to get out there and support!
Okay ladies, please accept my appology, but I was little occupied ! :)
I am sure you all need a little drink after watching WFE, so you can get your emotions under control! One after another now - and yeesss- tips are accepted, lol! Here come the Pina Coladas, Caipirinhas, well let´s say all Brazilian cocktails first!Beer is 50% off today! Just got a delivery from Bavaria... You might just want to hurry, it is veeeryy gooood and I like it myself, lol!
@Anon 3.35 Yes, of course I love it. I feel so proud of Rob, and all the hard work he has done for this film. I love the colors and texture of the movie, the 1930s was really brought to life. I am a serious fan of period movies and I'm in awe of the authenticity of the set design, costumes, script, etc., Rob has really gone a long way from his younger days as Cedric in HP-first time I noticed him. His acting was raw and powerful; he really embodied the Jacob I've known from the book. He carried the movie very well. Reese was amazing, esp in her circus act scenes and as usual, Christoph is a scene-stealer. Oh and Tai is unbelievably talented. I wish I can go into details, maybe soon. I saw it twice already, both were special screenings and the audience loved it as well. And I still have a date with hubs and daughter to watch it again. Maybe a few more screenings with my girl friends...lol
I hope we continue to support the movie throughout the weekend and the next week. Word of mouth, people. Let's spread the word how good this movie is. Hugs everyone.
Thanks for making this post, spoiler-free. You guys are the best.
Dan i will have a beer thanks, hmm try not to get too distracted you get paid by the hour boy, lol.
ha its ok girls, i understand that all of you want to share the film details, i will still go and see it, i will not look at the comments promise. lol
I just had to comment this morning. I saw WFE last night with my hubby and the theater was full and there were applause at the end. I cried at several different points and it stayed very true to the book. Rob was utterly amazing and I am def going to be seeing it again within the next few days. My hubby (who I have forced to see all the Twilight movies multiple times in the theater) came out saying how much he enjoyed this movie. It was beautiful, tragic, funny, etc. Rob is a truly talented man and now more people will see it. I am encouraging all who I know to see this film and I will be back to see it a few more times. GO ROB!!!!!! Loved it!
Penny
hi everybody
I have to wait for WFE but I read all comments and enjoy reading them, got even more and more excited for it,
@Twlola hi dear wellcome back I think it was a while you were not here
hello to Maka,Lala,Twinan,Mel from texas,Malia,Misty, and all other fans
@sharilee Good point about Reese's performance, I didn't think of it that way. Maybe because Christoph played August with so many layers (I didn't expect to have sympathy for August). Reese really was good in those husband/wife scenes with Christoph. Their last scene together was incredible. And the scene from the movie poster with all 3 of them was riveting. The more I reflect on this movie, the more I find to love.
Here in the Netherlands the premiere is on the 5th, so I'll have to wait. I hope I'm objective enough to judge his acting but I thought he did a good job in Remember Me and he's only gonna get better. I really and truely wish him all the succes in the world. He works hard for it plus he is the nicest guy. I'm glad you all liked it and hope it's gonna be a big hit to shut up the nasties who mock the Twilight movies.
By the way Christoph was excellent, very sadistic in Inglorious Bastards. The movie looks very promising and I''m lookin forward to it.
Saw it with husband - shout out to grandparents for babysitting the kids and keeping them overnight! ;-)
Both my husband and I really enjoyed the movie. I was a huge fan of the book and was afraid that I would be somewhat "disappointed" with the movie version. However, I was so impressed!!!! All the actors did a great job! Rob is excellent, credible and you can really feel Jacob's "amazement" at being part of a circus show. Reese and Mr Waltzz are also simply amazing! My husband, who didn't read the book asked me to lend it to him... All in all: a great movie. I will buy it when it comes on DVD, to add it to our collection!
I forgot to ask you all for your IDs! No alc under 21! Lol!
My wife to be and my sister will got watch WFE after its premiere here in about a week. Unfortunately I won`t be able to go...
I agree with you sue, Christoph is an excellent actor! So is Reese and Robert of course.
By the hour???!!! Oh no, lala/c I`ll have to pay for a wedding and some hungry mouths to feed!
@lala/c..I thought so. I work in a lab myself so I am quite familiar with your words. So night shift, huh? Hope that's working for you coz it is a hard shift to work.
I cannot wait to watch the movie again so that I can capture any other scenes that escaped my eye because I was mesmerised by Rob.
Thanks for the shoutout Mel of Texas and Anahita. I doubt that we will get our fill of Rob in this movie so I know we will be returning to the movie house over and over to enjoy his glory.
Happy Easter to the unis in the bunch, it is so good to hear your favorable comments as well.
Happy Easter S...enjoy the day with the hubs and your beautiful daughter!
oh Dan you are getting hitched? wow, no worries man i will give you a bonus and free drinks for the wedding, how does that sound. oh congrats, we will have to start knitting for you then, lol
oh Twilola you are a collegue, lol thats great. i work at the biochemistry wing, what about you?
well back to the subject, hubs has agreed to watch WFE with me, ha do not ask how i managed to convince him, lol. we checked the coming attractions and still no sign, hmmmmmmmmm
I loved the movie!!! Bravo Rob!! so proud of Him!! so emotional, breathtaking movie!! Going again today =)
I saw the movie last night..2 times!!! It was wonderful. Rob was wonderful. I am hard pressed to understand the negative reviews, though. I'm not sure if I viewed the same version of the film that these critics did, but what I saw was clearly a work of art and should definitely be be recognized by the Academy. It would be more realistic to hear "oscar buzz" than the downright dismissal of Robert Pattinson's acting ability. He was very credible in the role of Jacob Jankowski. In fact, I believe he was perfectly cast.
Francis Lawrence & the entire crew & cast should be commended. It was a beautiful depiction of Sara Gruen's story even though license was taken to condense it for the big screen.
It should be seen on the big screen. Don't miss your opportunity.
GOOD MAWNIN' GANG & S!...I'm still on a natural high f/last night & seeing our HUNKY ROB~~mmm hmmm~~/c, can't wait for Kofi's new position,lol...HI twilola! it's been awhile sweetie, missed you! Yo there, A.f/Miami, WOOT! hey there twinan & Mel/TX & anahita...Yep, Ina, so happy that DAN finally showed up!! you have a great excuse Dan, since you were "occupied",lol, a hearty mahalo (thanks) for my pina colada & half-off beer!! It really HIT THE SPOT dude!! you deserved your well-earned tip guy, haha!! Robowski & TaiRosie are still in my crazy head this mornin'~~so precious~~Happy Easter Weekend Dudes & Dudettes! ALOHA & HUGS TO ALL :)//||\\ :)//||\\~~~~~~~~I hula my way out~~~~~~~
You are allso happy!!!....I cry. I'm italian and in my country wfe goes out may 6.Very ugly easter...the only thing I can do is read your comments.and goes blue!!!.
Hey lala/c, I manage the lab in a 240 bed hospital. We could be categorized as stat lab coz we perform mainly stat testing and send routines to our reference lab. I've got two other co-workers who are crazy fans like us and I went to the movie yesterday with one of them. All three of us will go together for round two this coming Wednesday. Well you know, like minds prefer the same gorgeous people such as our two hotties Rob and Kristen!!
Wow S, 128 comments and counting. We are not even through with the weekend yet. Keep 'em coming folks....
saw WFE last night and the theater was packed. mix audience of all ages. applause at the end. screw the critics the movie was good. acting was very good for all the leads. congrats rob you finally won over older people and male audience as well. well done.
Love reading your reviews guys, sounds lovely, I'm going tomorrow I've been busy, but the funny thing is my grandpa and grandma saw the movie and they both like it, I was so happy, and they don't even know who Robert is. I can't wait to see the movie, going with my bros and a couple of friends :D
i live in paris so the movie wont be out till mai 4th here but luckily i me and my twihard friend got tickets to the special premier next friday so i cant wait!!! is it to much to hope that kristen will come to the french premier as well??

Hope you all enjoy your easter weekend w/WFE! Have fun!
@Ina: it is a deal, :)
ah ok Twilola no i work at the main hospital its huge. will soon start full time again, nights and days.
What a great movie. Rob was great as well as the rest of cast. I think I'll go see it again. I can't imagine why some the critics are giving it a bad review. I read the book and the movie is pretty true to the book. Loved it.
Just got back my second time and the movie was even better this time. Going again on Monday to the matinee. Telling everyone about it, even people at the restaurant where we ate afterward. Put it on facebook and the theater today was 3/4 full and it was a matinee.
I just saw WFE today. There was a good crowd, but it was the 12:40 showing, and I know more came at the next showing. It was awesome! I loved everything I expected to, having read the book a couple of times, but I was blown away by all of the main characters. Of course, Rob didn't disappoint, but Christophe and Hal were pleasant surprises. I hope the first weekend box office will be big!!! Kathy from Fort Worth
Hi Lady S. and everyone! This was a HOMER for Rob. It really was a great movie. I was crossing everything that this movie did well. The more people see his talent and let him grow as an actor is always great!! The good fans are over the moon at this movie and I cant tell you how I am really looking forward to seeing OTR because of that cast. I actually think this movie has some outstanding qualities that are Oscar worthy. The scenery background, period pieces and music as well as other stuff should really get a nod!!!I wish nothing but the best for R/K and this just one of those wonderful steps!
@Sandy I got your not-for-print comment. lol Thanks, you can email me next time if you wish. I'm sorry that you got exposed to some vile today. Ppl are such a shit heads sometimes. Steer clear bb. Oh and I'm no royal, so you can drop the 'lady'.:D
xo,S
Spectacular movie. I may be thinking too far out of the box on this one, but did anyone else pick up the obvious shout out when Marlena asks Jacob "where were you when I was seventeen?" haha
Thanks S.
I just got back from seeing it! It was soooo good! I gasped when he first came onscreen, and several other times during the movie. He is absolutely gorgeous in the tux, and in the dirty everyday clothes. If I wasn't already in awe of him, I would be now. Just WOW!!!!!
First time submitting a comment but had to share that I saw the movie twice. Once Friday night with big group of friends and today in the afternoon with my closet Rob fan. It is a beautiful film. Great acting from all three leads. I am a huge Robert Pattinson fan but I tried to watch the movie objectively to see if some of the negative reviews were accurate, but I loved it more the second time. It's a beautiful story, just as good as the book. What I found the most interesting is that both times the theater was packed with Senior Citizen couples and they cheered at the end of the movie! Rob's acting really shines in this film, he becomes Jacob from the book! Go see it at least twice because it is better second time around!
I loved it! and I lOVED Rob in it! He was great! I kinda wish they would have put a different actress in the role of Marlena though, I always find myself so distracted by Reese Witherspoon's chin. :) I know that's mean, but I can't help it. There is something about her "look" that I couldn't picture as Marlena and it bothered me. But then again, I would have liked to have seen someone else play the role of Ally in Remember Me. And before anyone says it, no, I don't only want to see Rob act with Kristen. :) That would be nice, but I can see him acting alongside other actresses, just not those two I guess.
Saw the movie today and there are no words to describe this unbelievably great movie. It was AWESOME!
Rob was AWESOME as always.
This is the first time I have written. I went with my nieces to see the movie tonight. It was great, of course. But the most surprising thing was that the movie was filled with older couples. I think this movie will have a lot bigger box office than predicted.
Love the blog!
oh my gosh! it was soooooo good and rob's acting was so on point! it is definitely one of my favorite movies now :)
@ anon 9:52, I went last night and I noticed that too, I was surprised how many older couples there were. There was such a wide range of ages there, children, teenagers, moms, older couples, men, I was very impressed with the different people in the theatre. It was a full house and everyone cheered at the end. I can't wait to see it again.
TS
Wow! Just wow! No and no I haven't seen the film, but my silent Q was answered. Will the SCs come to see this film? Coming from different stories about fans' experiences, they have come in full force. In their haste giving Pattinson the ultimatum (as if they can predict the unpredictable Pattinson), analysts, critics and even that rotten potato..err tomato have forgotten the influence of the film 1930's theme to older generation. LOL! I just don't know how these two(SC and Tweens) can seat in one place and watch a movie in solemnity!
My husband and I watched it today. He is not a Twilight fan and doesn't understand how I can watch the movies or read the books over and over. He really enjoyed the movie as much as I did. We both thought Rob did a great job. If you haven't seen the movie you need to do so. I was GREAT!!!!
So Hal Holbrook's bringing in his grey-haired groupies to WFE too? I guess there really is something for everyone in this movie. Now if Tai starts packing in the pachyderms it really will be historic.
@Misty Please take note that we need 'paying pachyderms' lol No freebies, not even if you're in Tai's clique.
I LOVE LOVE LOVED it!!! Rob did such an amazing and believable job! I was so absorbed in his performance I didn't see Edward even once :) So proud of him for proving what a talent he is. One of the things I loved the most was how much he smiled and laughed in this movie. He doesn't get a chance to laugh and let loose in Twilight and I found it really refreshing. Again...LOVED it! Can't wait to see it again!
PS...Since tomorrow is Easter do we think Bill Condon will release a Breaking Dawn still for us? Or do you think he's too upset about the leaks? Fingers crossed for an Easter miracle :)
i saw it opening day and again today. it was pretty much spot on with the book. and rob was right, so beautiful and sweet. i actually wasnt even thinking of rob because of how believable he was as jacob. i fell in love with him on screen haha. the ending especially got to me. it was just a big old fashioned movie and very modest. i loved it. rob dazzles me[:
Again, I said NO SPOLIERS. Thanks.
oooooh Good morning peeps,HAPPY EASTER to all those who celebrate it like me, i am off to church. did not look at the comments hope they decide to get the film over sooon.
Hi folks,
Saw the movie yesterday. Amzing Rob is wonderful, so genuine. The theater was full and most people there were over the age of 40! Glad to see Rob have mainstream success!
Well, I'm spanish and I have to wait untill 6th of May to see the movie, but I'm so glad for the good commentaries.... can't wait!
Rob is amazing in the movie. Kristen must be so proud of her leading man.
Hallo from germany, i will say ever and ever S. this blog is incredible and so beautifull comments. I visit it every day (thanks google for translation lol). In the next week is Robs big day in Berlin and WFE will be out on thursday, i cant wait. I hope R. has a good time in Berlin. I will support the book, the movie any time. Sorry for my english.
Malia, Misty so so sweet and funny, i love it!
Hi there @girl from germany! aw, I hope Rob has a great time in Berlin sweetie! and your English is just beautiful, love it! :)//||\\
Have to say just got back from WFE and what a trip back to 1931. Rob was truly great. He became Jacob for me. Great acting with everyone he had interactions with. Though he shined when he was acting with Rosie/Tai. And yes I agree Kristen must be so proud of him.
saw it yesterday...fucking amazing. very proud of Rob.
