Mackenzie Foy talks BD2, Rob and Kristen

Photobucket TwilightPoison I'd really like to know what you learned about acting from the other cast members that you got to work with?
Mackenzie Foy: Well, I learned the most by watching them because they would be themselves and then they would become the character that they become.

Is there one thing that you learned by watching one person in particular, that you took in and thought “I want to be able to do that”?
M: There’s some cool stunts that everyone did, there’s a couple of flips and I thought that was very cool.

Now, on the press conference you mentioned the swear jar… Who was the biggest offender?
M: Like I said, I don’t want anybody else to get in trouble! (laughs)

Is there anybody who didn’t have to put any quarters in the swear jar?
M: Um… Stephenie (Meyer), Taylor (Lautner), Noel (Fisher), Dr. Guri (Weinberg), and there were some other people like Miss Tracey (Heggins), Miss Judi (Shekoni). Most of the Cullen guys. They didn’t say any swear words. Oh! And Miss Ashley (Greene). She didn’t say any.

What was your first time meeting, Taylor, Kristen and Rob like?
M: Well I met Kristen and Rob in the hair and make up trailer, and I think the first time I met Taylor was… in the first scene actually.

Who was the biggest prankster on set? Or the biggest jokester?
M: Rob was pretty funny. He had some pretty funny jokes.

He made you laugh a lot?
M: Yes. And Mr. Guri, he was really funny too.

When you wrapped up did they show up for your last scene?
M: Yeah, it was just me and Kristen.
You were the final two?
M: Yes.

But the rest of the crew probably showed up right? “That’s a wrap on Mackenzie”!
M: The crew was there and the visual effects guy and all that stuff, because it had to do with the wolves. All the other cast, they weren’t wrapped yet, they just had the day off so it was just me and Kristen. It was nice.

Toni Trucks and Casey LaBow Mention Rob and Krsten

Photobucket Photobucket

ETonLine Kristen Stewart is very easy on the eyes. "Kristen is porcelain—and magnetic," Breaking Dawn: Part 2 actress Toni Trucks (Mary, American Nomad in BD2)  said at last night's premiere of her new movie, Ruby Sparks. "I even found myself on set with her and all of a sudden I'd be like, 'Why am I staring at Kristen right now?'"

And K.Stew, 22, and her beau Robert Pattinson, 26, couldn't have been nicer. "They're great," said Trucks, 31. "Kristen was always lovely to me and really laid back and Rob was so joyful and cool. They're both wonderful, cool as a cucumber. I don't think anyone can really judge people too harshly when you have all eyes on you at all times."

Casey Labow (Kate Denali in BD2) Interview
bellaandedward.com Q: Looking back, is there a favorite day or moment on set that you can talk about?
A: There was a day where I shot a scene with Lee Pace, Kellan, Rob, and Kristen. There were a couple of other people there, but the scene took place between myself, Rob, Kristen, Lee, and Kellan. I really enjoyed that day, we had a lot of fun. You’ll see the scene.

Metric's Emily Haines talks about Rob and Working on Music for his films

Watch at  Washington Post Jul. 10, 2012 - Metric's Emily Haines discusses the band's work on music for films like "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" and "Cosmopolis" - and the coincidence that both movies star Robert Pattinson.

Transcription "We actually met him recently and we laughed about that, he's a really good guy. We ended up hanging out at his house and having this like kind of, we were just like, 'do we have this weird six degrees of separation, or less, one degree of separation from him' but it's a complete coincidence, it's funny. Colton Haynes, of Teen Wolf, talks Rob

"Robert Pattinson was way better than me so that's why he got [the Twilight role. He's a class act, one of the nicest guys. He's taken all the fame and used it in a good way instead of just become a socialite."

MyAnna Buring and Xavier Samuel talk Rob, Kristen and Fame

Photobucket Photobucket

MSNUK Twilight's MyAnna Buring has said watching co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart deal with the spotlight has made her realise fame isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

The 27-year-old Swedish actress - who plays vampire Tanya in Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 - is impressed with the way the actors, who are a real life couple, deal with the attention, but is pleased she doesn't get as much.

MyAnna said: "I've only had lovely experiences with fans but I think it must be crazy for the main group. They handle it with amazing grace, but if people actually experienced it I think they would think again about how cool it is, because it can be really tough." via KStewAngel

EmpireonLine Xavier Samuel talks Rob's fame
How do you feel about the fan aspect of Twilight?
Xavier Samuel: I feel alright about it.

Would you ever want the level of fame and adoration it’s brought Robert Pattinson?
XS: I think that kind of adoration is a grotesque thing to yearn for, because it’s not about you. It’s about something else entirely. I’m trying to think of an example of where that adoration is genuine. I have no idea where it comes from. I feel a little bit removed from it actually. Obviously I’m not under the microscope like those other guys are.

Not yet.
XS: Right. It hasn’t been too invasive so far. I look at it and go, Okay, people are excited about the film, they like the story. That level of enthusiasm is a powerful thing. via

Kristen and Chris' Interview with MTV Australia

YouTube @beautifulRK via vonch

MTV  In an exclusive chat with MTV Australia at the Sydney premiere of the fairytale remake, the actress said of Rob joining her for a follow-up flick, “Oh absolutely! Rob’s invited to be on our cast. Definitely!”

But, it looks like R-Patz could have a bit of a battle on his hands for his leading lady’s affections… Kristen’s ‘Snow White’ love interest Chris Hemsworth, who plays the part of the Huntsman in the Disney adaptation, told us he’s also up for part 2. “I don’t know if it’s officially going ahead, but there’s definitely talk of [a sequel].There seems to be a great interest in this, so definitely if there’s another great script and the same cast then for sure!”

And luckily for Kristen, Chris (and possibly Rob), the movie’s director Rupert Sanders has already started working on the next installment! “I can tell you that I’m working on a sequel now and it’s really exciting,” he told MTV Australia on the white carpet at Bondi Junction’s Event Cinema. “We all had a great time doing this one, so onwards and upwards.”

Thanks SydneyClaire and Emily for the heads up.

Anthony Mackie talks about Golfing with Rob

VH1The nice thing about interviewing celebrities at movie premieres is that you learn something new every time. Take our chat with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter star Anthony Mackie (aka hot dude from The Hurt Locker soon to be seen in a billion A-Lister packed films) at the film’s premiere last night. The actor told our correspondent Janell Snowden that his #1 golfing buddy is none other than Robert Pattinson. Seriously!?

Mackie tell VH1, “Rob Pattinson, he’s a good friend of mine. We hang out together and play golf together and drink in the pubs. That’s my homeboy.” As for their golfing threads? Anthony just scored a new Puma outfit and says Rob wears “slacks with a nice polo.” What we wouldn’t give to see these two palling around on the green!

David Cronenberg's talks Rob with GQUK and Film4

Photobucket

GQUK Over the years you've appeared in London as everything from a tabloid sensation to a red carpet celebrity. What was your earliest memory of the city?
David Cronenberg: The city has been a constant in my life really since the mid Sixties. I saw the Rolling Stones at the London Palladium in 1965, as well as the Unit 4 + 2 and the Moody Blues. The Stones were fantastic - "Satisfaction" was their big hit at the time and it was great when they started to unleash it on the fans. It was funny being in Portugal with Rob because we had a red carpet that went on for about a solid kilometre straight, lined by literally a thousand girls screaming. It reminded me of the Stones in London.

Do you think Eric Packer is the most stylish character you've ever created?
Actually, I think Dr Jung in A Dangerous Method was pretty darn stylish. There is a contemporary quality to Eric that is certainly timely and cutting-edge in that sense. On the other hand, he's a guy who, like a lot of the financiers that we read about now, the "London Whale" being one of them, really want to be anonymous. They don't want to cut a great figure in the public eye. Part of their power as investors is anonymity and so although Eric Packer does have a bodyguard in this movie, the bodyguard is there to protect his life, not keep the fans away.

What's been your worst date?
I never really dated. The thing is I've been married for about 37 years and it's kind of a strange thing because I've never done this tradition of dating and pick-up lines. Somebody in Berlin said, "What's the worst pickup line you've ever heard?" I said, "I've never given one, at least not consciously". Rob said his answer for that is "I would look good in your clothes". I thought that was a pretty good one.

David Cronenberg's Interview with Film4 - talks Rob, of course.
Film4's Editor Catherine Bray: Hello David. I should start by saying I really loved the film, having seen it twice now, at the premiere in Cannes and on coming back to London - it’s a really extraordinary piece of work.
David Cronenberg: We should stop the interview right now, we can’t do better than that.

David talks about Rob in Cosmopolis with France Inter at 11:20 and 28:58

11:12 to 12:55: Is it true, David Cronenberg, that during the shooting of Cosmopolis, you were saying to Robert Pattinson - who's the lead: "If you understand anything to what we're doing, we're lost."

David: I did say that, I said, because he said: 'I have no idea what I'm doing with this movie and what this character is.' And I said: "But you are doing everything perfectly correct." And therefore, it would be boring and it would lack spontaneity , it would lack inventiveness, if you knew before you made the film everything you need to do in the film. Also, I've said many times that you make the film to understand why you wanted to make the film. You don't even know why you wanna do this film. And I was explaining to him, because he's a young actor and he did not have the experience, that they are many ways to understand something. It's not always a sort of logical intellectual way of understanding. It's more intuitive, it's visceral. And he has wonderful intiution and mainly when I said that, I was really saying to him: "Trust your intuition, you really have wonderful acting intuitions, you must trust them."

at 28:24 to 28:58 David: Both DeLillo and Burroughs have wonderful, very funny, very strange, very bizarre dilaogue, and wonderful to hear actors speak. So I'm sure I have absorbed Burroughs from a very early age. The rythym of their speech is very american, I'm Canadian and so when I hear american speech from DeLillo, from Burroughs it's foreign to me, it's foreign dialogue. Canadians don't speak that way. So just as Robert Pattinson, who is English, has to do an American accent when he is in the movie, I too as a writer and a director, I am actually doing an american accent.

David Cronenberg talks about Rob with BBC and DazedDIgital

Photobucket
BBC UK By way of preparation, Cronenberg showed his crew the 2009 film Lebanon, which takes place inside an Israeli tank, and 1981 war epic Das Boot, which takes place inside a German submarine.
"I said: 'Let's not be intimidated by this, this could be quite exhilarating if we do it right.' We built a limo that comes apart like a Lego car in about 24 pieces. I don't think of it as a challenge, but as a lot of fun."

Robert Pattinson's performance as the billionaire banker has been largely well received since the film's Cannes debut."At its heart is a sensational central performance from Robert Pattinson," said The Telegraph's Robbie Collin. "Pattinson plays him like a human caldera; stony on the surface, with volcanic chambers of nervous energy and self-loathing churning deep below."

Empire's Damon Wise observed: "Lean and spiky - with his clean white shirt he resembles a groomed Sid Vicious - Pattinson nails a difficult part almost perfectly, recalling those great words of advice from West Side Story: You wanna live in this crazy world? Play it cool."

What made Cronenberg choose Pattinson as his leading man? "This character is in every scene in the movie which is quite unusual for a movie with a big star," he says.

"That means he must have charisma, and that he is constantly revealing different tones and shades - and Rob has that.

"Finally, he has to be good with dialogue because this is wall-to-wall dialogue, some of it quite technical, which can be very intimidating for an actor. Once I convinced him he was the guy, he had no problem with it."

Cronenberg is closely associated with the "body horror" genre through his 1970s and 80s films such as Rabid, Scanners, Videodrome and The Fly. Cronenberg has written a screenplay for a new Fly movie, but says plans to make it appear to have been squashed. "I was interested in not doing exactly a sequel or a remake," Cronenberg explains. "It was suggested to me by the people at Fox who have the rights to the original [1950s] movie and my movie, but there was what we should call 'creative differences'. "What I was interested in doing and what they wanted were two different things, so it's no longer in my control. It's in their court to play."

Cronenberg laughs when it's pointed out that Robert Pattinson was born in 1986 - the same year that he made The Fly. "There comes a time as a director when you are no longer the youngest guy on the set - I used to be and now I'm the oldest!"

Cosmopolis opens in the UK on 15 June. via RPLife

DazedDigital: What struck you about Robert Pattinson to make you think he’d fit the part of Eric Packer?
David Cronenberg: He’s intensely charismatic and watchable and this is a role in which the lead character is in every single scene, and that’s really unusual, even for a movies with big stars. And that means you have to have somebody who people will watch and want to watch and want to listen to. I’d seen some of his movies that were not Twilight and I thought this guy’s got an interesting range and he seems to be a serious actor, he’s really interested in chances and is willing to take chances. @alexandra1116
