i dont think this is true. i mean they want to have private time with each other, not being in public at such an "important moment". well its not THAT important, but you spent it with friends and people who are near to you and NOT with the whole world...

Doesn't seem like their style to do some public event tonight. Rob was probably asked and he is too nice a guy to say no.

Hmmmm, will be interesting to see if our uber-private couple really attend this event; we are all wishing for an epic 2011, and this would be a grand way to start it....still not quite convinced they are going, as @opytaylor said, not really their style....but I will be checking in all day to find out!! Sigh, just the thought of a midnight kiss melts me. When will it be midnight in IOW??? (I'm in eastern standard time here).

i dunno but that does not seem right for our couple..how could Rob count Kristens freckles in new years eve if so many peoploe around?Im on a greater side that maybe they are just trying to attract people for the countdown...Rob and Kris wants to celebrate it privately with their closest friends...
They are 5 hours ahead of us(east coast).

Honestly, I don't want them to go to the event because 1. New Years=Kiss and we know they wont with all those cameras around and 2. I want them to enjoy their New Years eve with friends and Family not cameras and thousands of screaming people. Again its just my thoughts on the whole thing and besides I doubt they will attend even if invited.
