Protagonist Pictures the Sales and Marketing Company for Bel Ami, has just released their Sundance 2011 festival line-up and unfortunately absent is Bel Ami starring Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman.
Protagonist films Tyrannosaur and the acclaimed film Submarine are in the Sundance line-up.

According to BelAmiMovieUK "Optimum Releasing source confirmed today that “delivery has started on the film but we don’t have a print yet, plus it will be a few months until we have a trailer'."

well, I don't remember ever hearing anything about Sundance. only heard Berlin and Cannes film festival.

I didnt think it would be honestly.
I am a volunteer at Sundance this year and I was seriously hoping for Bel Ami to make it's debut there. It's the perfect film for the venue. Bummer! Thanks for the update.
Hi twilightnan! According to the site "allociné" it will be released the 18th of May in France, so I don't know for Cannes, maybe there's still a chance.
I too hope for you it will come out in the US, I wonder what they are waiting, is it because it's an english/foreign movie ?
Why can't someone in the USA get fingers out and buy the film and stop all of us from having to wait for this movie to come out.

@takeitoff,.thank you for that info about Bel Ami 18th of May 2011 release date in France ,I have some friends who live in the USA who are looking forward to seeing this film and getting frustrated waiting for it's release date in america..I actually live in the UK so I'm happy we have got a release date..in August..a late release date than I expected..hugs to all!
