Even though I see the picture and I have already saved it in my laptop, is it right that we do that? I mean it's not like it's a naked picture or something, they could take a picture like that at a premiere too, and we're just looking at something that makes us happy and we're not gonna flaunt it everywhere I guess, but should we feel bad about it? i think its photoshopped, not the four people but them being put in this room. you can see that at the dividing line between the leg of robs dad and the couch. also that they are all wearing coats although they are IN a room is pretty odd dont you think? i guess the original pic was taken somewhere outside...

Well, this was something! I imagine the photographer could be one of his sisters but as we can se Mrs Pattinson is also holding a camera. It looks like they might pose for several pictures with different cameras.
When I see this I think two things. One is that they do have a private life. No one saw them celebrate Christmas last year. Unti now... And secondly why do private photos appear now? Maybe it's a way of going public without having to talk about it.
There has been a previous pic of Rob and a guy taken in this room a few years ago (Patti the dog was with them on the pic if I remember well). So it's definitely the living room of his parents'home. Maybe his mother was on her way out, she has a camera in her right hand BTW. It's a very English cozy room.

Sorry guys, while I'm a huge Robsten fan, my hubbies proffessional opinion is that this is photoshopped,something to do with the shadows indicating the orignal photo was taken under natural light, and an electric light would cast different tones on their skin...I don't know his explanation was all a bit technical and boring so I stopped listening after a while....V happy if he's proved wrong, but I think this should be taken with a pinch of salt...

I've read the posts about this possibly being photoshopped, well if you want a professional opinion, here is mine. The light issues someone mentioned, if you check out the chandelier above their heads, it casts the light in a very specific range, the light on their hair and faces plus the colour distortion is all congruent with that light fixture. Also if it were photoshopped there would be telltale marks in certain spots around the family. When I zoomed in on the photo the marks were noticably absent. There are a million other little tells that a photo can have that will alert you to any kind of digital manipulation. This photo has none of them. I can tell you, this photo was absolutely NOT photoshopped.
Cute little informal picture. It is private, but when they see it online, they probably will be upset for about a minute, and then move on. I’m sure they’ve learned not to get too hung on these things, or else they would have gone batty by now. Outside this fandom, people will think it’s a boring family photo. It’s not like the Miley video that leaked a few days ago where she’s getting high and hallucinating about her ex-boyfriend.

Oh man, is it the period for leaking pictures ? First the wedding, now this... Usually I just shut my mouth but that's so not cool for Kristen & Rob and I kinda feel like a stalker or a peeping tom looking at this kind of pics.

S, I love you! I hate that I'm LTP. IMO, not photoshopped, don't feel guilty at all. If memory serves me correctly, I think they both spent Xmas with their respective families. Kristen flew to London to be with Rob after Xmas but before NYE. Hopefully they'll be celebrating Xmas together this year.

People can only police themselves not an entire fandom. The picture is out there so it is what it is now.
However: I do get uncomfortable with people saying R/K would understand b/c that is total rationalization. Anyone who is even kind of a fan of them knows that they are some of the most private celebs I have seen in a long time. I don't think they would be cool or understanding of a personal family picture being put on the internet to be analyzed pixel by pixel. Pappz photos are something they have to deal with. Stuff like this I'm not so sure.
But like I said it's out there. Hopefully next time their friends and family and fans will be more careful.
@lala LOL,your funny,yes I want to be a member of the knitting club,sign me in.I'm so happy to see this picture today.When the pictures of Rob,his sister and his dad last year hit the internet,I was questioning myself where was Rob's mom and his other sister.By that time I was thinking that probably they're with Kris.One person twitted last year Dec 09, that they spotted R/K in the airport together but nobody believed that person who twitted because we didn't see any pictures.We know that they spend thanksgiving with the Stewart's in LA last year,so I think they spend christmas with the Pattinson's and spend NYE with their friends.
Each time that a picture hit in the internet with R/K together,we had all this photoshopped/PR theory.We need to ignore it and just be happy for our lovely couple.
What scares me about this is that most fans don't see that a terrible breach of privacy is being done here to Rob and Kristen. If fans can't even see that there's something wrong about this then there's no end to the sort of shit that's gonna happen sooner or later. Rob and Kristen probably won't have any privacy by the beginning of next year. Because the sad thing is - fans will always want more, no matter how much it takes away from Rob and Kristen's private life.

I think it's funny how people get all worried about theses kind of pictures. Both Kristen and Rob are well award it's being taken, unlike many others taken without there knowledge (kissing pics for example) I hate those type.
It was most probably taken by one of Robs sisters, as I'm sure this was an intimate family time.
I mean come on, who doesn't have personal pictures of family moments on the internet? Most people do. I have pictures of myself and my family all over the place. They just want to be normal and don't care. Trust, if they didn't want it out there, it wouldn't be out there.

So some people are making a big deal that we are looking at a private picture of Rob and Kristen because it was taken in his house but it is okay to look at the pictures of him and the family friend (and patty!) which was taken in the very same place?! The photo with the guy is not "private" as compared to the one with Kristen?! Boggles your mind doesn't it? I don't think Rob and Kristen are going to be all mad that the picture has now gone viral, it was a posed picture and not one taken without their knowledge. What's the difference that the picture is seen by the photographer's family/friends/friend of friends/people who are not related to Rob and Kristen (I can go on..bahahah!)..etc..to us fans seeing it? Get my point? Hope so..lol! Just my opinion, peace!

Of course, it really is a breach of Rob and Kristen's privacy to release private pics on the internet...somehow I don't think they would have happily given permission to do so...but that's as much outrage as I can muster up. I can't stop staring at Kristen holding on to Rob's fingers. Sweetest thing I've ever seen. And Rob, your hair is a hot mess, baby, but somehow you're still just as gorgeous as ever. And how adorable are his parents, arm in arm. Gah, I can't take it, I love them all!! This is an awesome way to end a very long and busy day at work, thanks S!!
I am so LTP (late to party) but I have to add my two cents worth, of course. Considering every single comment said above, I will not be hypocritical. I will just say that I enjoyed this pic of Robsten because it makes me so deliriously happy to see them together in very normal surroundings with people they love.
@lala/c, malia and twilightnan, I really enjoyed your comments yet again and that I hope the membership to lala/c's knitting club is still open because I have to join in too. Even if I cannot knit I will volunteer for any duties required. LOL!

It is funny that some people go on about this picture as "the picture not meant to be seen" but private kissy pictures in Montreal and jumping Rob in boxers are okay to squeal over?! Wow..I'm LTP too!This photo just too freaking cute...so much lovin all around!Clare and Richard spending quality holiday time with their special son and his special GF.I agree with all above... an unfortunate invasion of their privacy but I think the posters on this site respect and love them. I hope Rob and Kristen can have lots of quality time like this..this year (with no leaks!).

OMG! I'm so damn happy to see this photo! Rob's hair looks AWESOME and really orange. I think maybe it's because of the light. Actually, if u really zoom into the photo (like I did using my iPhone. HAHA!), Rob's hair in this photo is really nt that big. There's a "stick furniture" behind him that look like it's joining frm his hair. He looks HOT though! And Rob's parents are beautiful too, esp his MUM! Hehe! And I love that Kristen is holding onto Rob's finger. So cute! Haha! ROBSTEN FOREVER! =)
Hey guys, maybe I will talk to myself but I was reading the new comments and I don't like to be called a hypocrite just because I don't squee over this pic. It's the same "debate" when a pic that private comes out, some will just be happy, other will be more moderate.
And I react the same way with pap pics, kiss pics, whatever. The thing is THEY want privacy so obviously it's not cool when pics like that are released. And more generally, I feel uncomfortable with that aspect of celebrity, there should be boundaries for them and for us fans & our sanity. People get too involved in their fav artists' personal lives, that's a big part of the problem.
I get your point that now it's out there we should just enjoy it, but I hope you'll understand mine.

I don't think anyone here are hypocrites. The commentors here are sane and wonderful supporters of Rob and Kristen and also to Robstenation. Everyone are entitled to their opinion. However, there are websites/ forums/individuals who like to pretend that they are " robsten police" and bashing other blogs for posting pictures they deemed private for public viewing and yet kept and passed this private picture amongst themselves before it was accidently leaked. I think that is being hypocritical!
