Water for Elephants has quite a lot going for it. It's based on the best-selling novel by Sara Gruen, so that gives it a built-in audience. Add to that the fact that any director would kill to have the film's three leads, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz, and you have what looks like a hit. Elephants is bound to appeal more to moviegoers aged 25+, and that means there may not be a huge opening weekend rush. Expect the film to show decent legs even as Fast Five and Thor begin to dominate multiplexes in the weeks to come.
Online buzz is surprisingly strong for Elephants. The drama leads all unreleased films with a 17.24% market share of online opinions. The presence of Robert Pattinson certainly accounts for a lot out of those comments.
On Facebook, Water for Elephants' most active page has added nearly 50,000 new supporters since early Monday morning. That's a very healthy number for a drama aimed at adults. Twitter activity is also very strong. Water for Elephants is inspiring more tweets than Remember Me and Charlie St. Cloud.
Fandango is reporting that Water for Elephants accounts for 10% of daily sales. That impressive figure could jump even higher tomorrow as more couples plan for the weekend.
Expect Water for Elephants to take in $18 million from about 2,700 locations during its debut frame. Full article at Box Office

okay girls ! so i just came from water for elephants ! God it was an incredible movie and i will try not to be biased as i am such a fan of Rob and will try not to spoil anything for you !
the whole atmosphere of the movie , the texture , the theme is wonderful . you feel like its you there seeing everything through Jacob's eyes yet you see him as well. the way they portrayed that time , in my opinion was the best way they could.
Christoph is well AMAZING . like he makes you sit on the edge of the seat , every time he opens his mouth , he's just so charismatic , and effective on you .
Reese is as well so beautiful , yet so spectacular and she is like the cherry on the top of that WONDERFUL cake.
Rob is well...DIFFERENT . so much different . i never saw a bit of Edward or Tyler in that movie . he really brought that character to life , and the way how he is with Tai is indescribable. there are so many heartwarming moments and you can feel this whole friendship Rob has with her .
okay so overall the movie is AMAZING ! seriously . it makes you want to go and see it numerous times ! i REALLY hope it gains an Academy Award . because from what i've seen it definitely deserves it .
just checked the local coming attractions, not listed yet, most prob will get it after England does, will wait, now the mission is convincing hubs, lol hmmmmmmmm.
then, babysitting duties, have to check grandma. hmm planning a date night is a hassle nowadays, lol

yes please no spoilers , i did not bother reading the book because i hate reading something that i already know a lot about. i know a lot about the story by just watching the trailers and reading comments ,i just want to see the final product. thanks S.
Mmmmm can't wait!! I get to see it tomorrow night! Definitely will not spoil it for anyone, cause I would hate to have that happen to me.
I too think it will surpass all expectations, but I could be a little biased ;- ) And 25+, seriously? I mean Im 26 so Im in that category, but they obviously dont know how many Rob fans are under 25 and plan to go see it. He deserves all of this, he really does. He's so underrated and overly talented!
ROBSTEN FOREVER

TS
i just read some critic reviews from the movie....good ones but also bad ones.....hope rob doesn't bother too much because the bad ones are really hard on him!
Well...let me tell you a f***ing stupid thing!!! In my country it opens tomorrow too, but my city has only one f***ing theater with one f***ing hall and probably it will take some weeks to have the movie here. Makes me feel I live in the Stone Age!! :) Oh...and it's not all, I forgot about the cherry on top... you hardly hear what they say in the movie because the sound is soo soo f***ing bad that drives you crazy and you cannot enjoy the movie anymore. :) The last movie I saw there was Eclipse and I swore it was the last time I stepped in there. Lucky me right?! lol But this time I already have my back up plan, cause I have to make a short trip to the capital next week...:)) ura!! Can't wait to see the movie ( and in good conditions)!!! :)))))
Oh, S, does that wink mean what I think it means?? You sly girl, how did you manage to see it already? I haven't been this excited for a movie in such a long time; so much so that my sister and I have decided to go to the very first showing tomorrow at 1:30 instead of waiting till tomorrow evening! I am practicing my slow, deep breathing so as not to hyperventilate when the Pretty appears onscreen. Can't wait!
I have my tickets for tomorrow! I really really hope all of Rob's fans go out this weekend and support him and the film! It is ridiculous that now days, a movie has to make a ton of money on the opening weekend to determine whether it is a "success" or not. The pressure is crazy! Let's go support WFE this weekend! SO can't WAIT to see the movie! :)
Saw it last week. It was definitely not the best movie I've seen but it was enjoyable.
@katrien...I would ignore the bad reviews altogether. Its amazing how many critics out there are soooo negative and cruel (not only to Rob but Reese as well) They obviously didn't read the book and can't get past Rob in any other role other than Twilight even though Rob looks or acts NOTHING like Edward in this movie. Rob has thick skin and probably doesn't read reviews and if he does he doesn't care cause HE is proud of this movie. I can't wait to see it tomorrow cause I think it will be great and I bet the good reviews either from critics or fans will out weigh the bad ones ;)
HAPPY VIEWING OF WFE TOMORROW LADIES!!!!
me too like Twilightnan and Lala have to wait,no other choice
although I am not going to watch it tomorrow but like all ppl here in Robstenation who are going to watch WFE tomorrow, I am excited too.it is like me too will watch it morrow lol.
Tomorrow at 12:50 I will introduce my sister to the power of Pattinson! She has no idea what she is in for!!
Don't think I can be spoilt because I've read the book,Lol....have to wait until May 12th to see the movie and by then I'm sure half the world's population would've already seen it...boohoohoo!..nevermind,I'll bide my time until then, reading all the comments about how great the movie is and how fantastic Rob and Tai are, hurry up May,Lol...
Almost forgot. We'll all have to watch the evening news tomorrow to see if Sharilee is taken into custody for violating the movie screen! Make sure you have your sister bring bail money, bb!
Dan, where are ya?lol...me, lala/c & twinan & the other laydees would like our drinks please...pina colada for me dude!! YEP YEP YEP, going w/hubs tomorrow! there's a seat w/my name on it,lol...& I'll try not to be like that woman @the Jkimmel show last night that he was teasing w/her boyfriend "now settle down girl, geez, am I not enough for ya" "oh of course honey, always, but can you wear those suspenders for me tonight! HAHA!!! I'm so bad...& I've got a million more scenarios in my head!! hugs dudettes :)//||\\
bummed out that I don't get to see the movie until Monday night, but that is when my bestie can go. I'm not sure I agree with the age range 25+, and the reason why is many girls at the high school where I work are excited about the movie and they're 16-18. The many girls I heard talking about the movie love Rob and Reese. I really hope opening weekend blows the doors off!
@katrien: ITA with Canadian Girl, don't pay any attention to bad reviews; some of my favorite movies have had bad reviews from the critics (Twilight, anyone? ;) Even though I'm sure they're aware of negative reviews, I bet Rob and Kristen know the Hollywood game well enough to not take them too personally--they're not making movies for the critics, anyway, they're making them for themselves and for us. So as long as they are happy with their performance and we are happy as fans, I'm sure that means more to them than critics do :)
Well, just had a look on cinema.de, which belongs to a big magazine in Germany and WFE got 75 percent which is pretty good. That doesn't mean thumps up, but it's pretty good. I'm waiting for the print edition.
@Misty: LMAO! I've already promised my sister I will behave, but the "power of Pattinson" as you put it (love that!) may just force me into full body contact with the screen. I'm only human after all! No jury would convict me, as long as there was at least one female on it, LOL!
My friends will be seeing this movie tomorrow at 3:00pm,their 8 of us and we are all Rob/Kris supporters.5 of us the group are the one's that will see this movie again, like we did with RM,TRA,WTTR.Our love ones called us R/K addicts.
