Has Lee ever performed and talked about the origin of "Falling in Love for the Last Time"? Does anyone know if he ever confirmed that it was about Rob & Kristen?
Watched this live yesterday on the webcast. Lee MacDougall is a fantastic singer/songwriter and a wonderful human being! Shaui, we've talked about him before. If anyone reading this wants to check out more of his music, please check out our fan page for him on Facebook, called The Lee MacDougall Experience. He's very interactive with the page.
By the way, I love this song ("How to Be"). It would have been so perfect for the movie. Lee is such an amazing songwriter. I hope everyone here gives him a listen.
@ANon 4.02 Falling in love is not about R/K as he confirmed in an interview, not was it written by Rob. Go to the sidebar's search box and type 'Falling in Love'- its the post dated August 12. THanks
Lee has mentioned in interviews that he (Lee) wrote "Falling in Love for the Last Time" and someone on the live chat during yesterday's show said the same thing - that he wrote it 3 years ago.
Thank you for the link to find the interview with Lee. But I am more convinced than ever that Falling in Love was inspired by Rob & Kristen--something Lee did not confirm nor deny in that interview. It is also obvious the Rob who is laughing at the end of the itunes version is Rob Pattinson. Even though his friend who often backs him up is named Rob, Pattinson's laugh is very distinct and I would bet my house that is him. So just another clue that Rob was his inspiration. I imagine for privacy purposes, Lee would never publicly admit that it's about them, because it's not really flattering to the female inspiration--even though it's probably an exageration. Either way, it's a great anthem for how Robsten came to be.
