Kristen and the Women of 'Twilight' in Elle's 2010 Power List
The Twilighters
Thanks to a team of brilliant women, the Twilight saga has grossed $1.8 billion worldwide, making it one of the most formidable franchises ever. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg scripted Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn parts 1 and 2, all based on Stephenie Meyer's wildly successful novels (she's sold a record 85 million books to date and is also a producer). Summit Entertainment's Nancy Kirkpatrick (president of worldwide marketing) is responsible for launching a shrewd social network ad campaign that is credited with heightening fan anticipation, while Summit's executive VP and head of physical production, Andi Isaacs, helped shape the modern tween-noir look of the film. And of course, there's the vehicle's star, Kristen Stewart, whom the franchise couldn't live without—and frankly, vice versa.

Love this, I am missing some 'girl power' lately. Ooh the women of 'Mad Men' are on the list, too. Hawt!

It's good they are writing about Twilight women rather than the guys for a change, but I find it rude that they imply that Kristen can't live without Twilight. "Kristen Stewart, whom the franchise couldn't live without—and frankly, vice versa."

Aw, go "GIRL POWER"!! Love it! I had a great dream about Kristen last night, it was awesome & Twilight wouldn't be the same without our girl playing Bella--no way, no how!! & of course our guy Robward's life has been ALTERED EVER SO COMPLETELY!!
Anon. 6:57 I agree, Kristen was doing really well BEFORE Twilight. She was already signed to do WTTR, TR, and OTR before she signed on to Twilight. So, in essence, Twiligh really lucked out when they got Kristen. The chemistry between Rob and Kristen was the catalyst for making the saga as big as it is.
@Gina, totally agree with you ..especially about the chemistry between Rob and Kristen!I have never had this constant longing to see these two lovebirds together,..totally hooked on watching Robsten's videos and their early 2008 appearances/interviews on you tube..watching their relationship evolve is very addictive..hugs to all favs and twilola:)

Summit was so lucky that Kristen accepted their offer and one the many reasons for the success of twilight series was the chemistry b/t Kristen and Rob.
ANAHITA.
Could you imagine what Twilight would have been like if Kristen had turned down the role of Bella, Rob would most likely not have auditoned for Edward. Who knows who could have ended up playing Bella and Edward. I don't think Twilight would have been as sucsessful without them their amazing chemistry NO ONE could ever have been mached what they have on and off screen.
TALK ABOUT POWER, Bella played by kristen stewart,..IT HIT ME LIKE A CANNONBALL!!!
