That is a lovely thing to say, I wish more film or television actors or actresses would be as gracious as Paul Wesley when it has to do with owing Rob a debt of gratitude for putting a new face on vampirism. Here is to you Paul and may your series have a nice long run.
Was nice of him to say that...I personally think there are way too many vampire shows right now, but he's right - they are a hit thanks to Twilight.

i would say the series never would have been conceived if it wasn't for twilight, so yeah he's right to thank them - probably has seen it too
I'm glad that the 2 main guys from Vampire Diaries know that if it wasn't for Twilight they wouldn't be as successful as they are now, nor would they have jobs. Both Ian and Paul acknowledge Rob which I think is great, because really the love for Rob is what's driving this whole vampire craze.
So good on Paul and Ian for knowing that.

It is great that people acknowledge Rob, because he's what is making vampires sexy right now. As for the pictures, Rob is beyond comparison. This Paul guy just does not have what Rob does.
Yep, thanks to Twilight and Robsten for they "accidentally" brought in 7 billion dollars to HW, and have spawned hits like TB and VD.
The 40 YO Stephen Moyer should have taken this into account before spewing his resentment towards Rob...
@mujihiko Moyer was just kidding when he said that. Anyway he already apologized bec it was blown out of proportion. Maybe it was just his Brit sense of humor, and the quip was directed to Edward not Rob. So, its all good. SMile bb :)
@Gisel, totally agree! Rob has that "it" factor, more than anyone I've seen in a long time. IMO, he is so uniquely charismatic that no other guy can compare!
ummmm. no sex hair! Hello!! LOL. No scruff??..pfffttt..Rob is definetly the real deal. He screams 'sex on fire' to me! Paul reminds me a bit of efron..Pretty boy clean cut look.

Good thing, he expressed his gratitude to the one guy who brought the "vampire culture" back to Hollywood and did it with great style. You are so right, Iluvthemovies, gratitude and giving recognition back is sometimes lacking in this business.

So nice from Paul. He's right Rob, Kristen and Twilight are pretty much the forcing power. Paul is such a nice guy, and so is Ian too.

vamp diaries just looks like it was taken from twilight lol so they SHOULD be thankful their show even got made and have so many fan followers! i'm not against the show at all, have tried to watch it a few times, and its ok but not as good as i was hoping it was gonna be. i do laugh every time though cos of the character/town/costume/voice/hair/face/manerism similarities between the show and twi/rob hahaha
