I am so looking forward to seeing this movie.
OK I'm not saying this because I'm prejudiced or anything like that, but they don't really match together! Of course it's only one picture and I have to see more to have a better opinion, and I'm glad it's Reese and not some other random girl, but that picture doesn't really do it for me (always objectively speaking)!

I think I'm the only one who is NOT excited over WFE! I don't know, I'm just not really looking foward to it as I was with RM. My sis showed me the pic today and I just shrugged LOL
I really hope nobody freaks out over these pics. Please remember this is Rob acting. On-screen chemistry and off-screen chemistry are two different things.
I think that because the chemestry between Rob and Kristen is so strong that no matter who they are "paired up" with in movies now and later on that it will not come across as stong and beliveable as it may of had, had.
Well, don't expect chemistry like Rob and Kristen's :D Because it really rarely happens :D And what about movie - I can't wait for it :)

OMG why the hate over WFE? Just because Rob is acting alongside other people doesn't mean we shouldn't support him in other movies. Same with Kristen. I love R/K and Twilight but we're not real fans if we don't support them in non-twi movies.
I will watch any movie which has Rob in it... though i love Reese as an actress, i am having my reservations about the Rob-Reese pair, we need more pics or a small trailer to actually see the chemistry....

well we are all biased here, but at the end of the day they are actors and we have to accept the fact that we are going to see pics like these. the film should be good, but i agree wit Jess , not a good match, Reese is a good actress and very sweet, but in this role i think they should have found someone younger, just my opinion.
Come on you guys, there is no hating on WFE or BA on the site. You're just bringing the drama here. Why talk about it? When its not an issue on the blog. Hate may exist elsewhere about R/K doing other movies and being paired with other actors but we do not have it here. So why start one?
@lala/c yeah we are all biased here, Reese has yet to click as the Marlena that I have in my mind. I will give her the benefit of the doubt until the movie is out, I know she can act lol.

I truly agree Reese looks old. She may be in great shape but her face screams old. Yeah, kinda like making out with his mom. Scarlett Johannsen would have been a better choice. I guess they wanted a few Oscar winners in the movie.
I love this look on him and I agree with S. Why hating on Reese? She has kids and a boyfriend. She is just acting. We all love Robsten and that means we have to respect their other works besides Twilight.

Well, I'm first and foremost, a Rob fan so it matters not what movie nor who he's acting with...I will watch and support, read the book, etc.
I thought he was very good in Remember Me (with Emilie...who, incidentally and actually, is about five years older than him) and am eager to see him in other non-Edward roles, as he progresses in his career.
Ditto for Kristen and her career.
From what I've seen and heard in their interviews thus far, they're both very professional in their work attitudes. As long as they keep believing in their own values and standards, their relationship will give them the strength to weather the ups and downs of showbiz.
sorry but there is always a drama about Rob's co-stars and it's very disturbing..
people always complain.. 'oh she is too old like his mother.. or she is young and pretty.. I can't stand watch him someone other than kristen' etc It is happening a lot in Robsten fandom..
I love R/K equally and I want both of them to be supported. That is all.

Actually I'm not hating at WFE at all! I may hate on Bel Ami but that's my own business, and I don't think I would have seen a movie like that ever, even if Rob was in it! But about WFE, I'm just saying, totally objectively, that I don't think they make a good match mostly because of the age! I would have said that about any other guy if the age difference was obvious! I'm not saying that Reese is old or something, but the difference is apparent! Unless that serves the book's purpose! Like I said I haven't read it and I have no idea! But all of this is just some positive-natured criticism! I absolutely don't wanna be negative, since it's clearly a really great movie!

Exactly. This is a critique of a still from the movie. The age diff is v evident. Tht is all. This isn't about not being able to sep movies and real life. I support them both but I'm not going to just blindly say every movie they make is perfect. Sorry if that offends.

God, you can't even see her face to say she looks old; it is your knowledge of her real age making you prejudiced. And although it is true that you don't have to love every film they make, you should at least admit you're more than ready to dislike this one because he is acting with someone other than Kristen.
In the book, Marlena is actually younger than Jacob. He is supposed to be really inexperienced and she isn't, because, of course, she is married. I think the people making the movie wanted to play up that aspect, so they used an older actress. I really like Reese, so I think it will be great!

I can't wait to see this movie, the story is great and the theme of animal abuse in circus is very important to me. Rob was soooo lucky to work with animals, what a beautiful experience, I bet he will have a lot of little stories to tell :) !
To be honest, I was a little disappointed by Remember me ( mainly because it's not my kind of movie and as you said before S, it was kind of the "Rob fest", not entirely a family drama ) so I hope there's a good chemistry between Rob & Reese otherwise the movie will suck, sure she's not Kristen but the boy needs to do good movies to have a successful & long career.
It's pointless to act like jealous girlfriends, it's just his job guys.

Iam SO looking forward to WFE! I think Rob will shine in this movie.The book was So good, so I can't wait to see the adaptation to the screen. Reese is a good actress & I love Christoph Watz. I'm so excited that Rob is being surrounded by such high calabre actors & directors. I'm actually really looking forward to all his upcoming projects.I want him to have a long and successful career beyond Twilight. I think the projects he's chosing are brave, interesting, and unique. He's one smart, talented cookie!

You know what the only thing I really want about this movie is for it not to be presented as the new "Rob Pattinson movie", the new "Twilight vampire goes to the circus" movie, or "in this movie Rob Pattinson gets to make out with Reese Witherspoon, oh my God!"! I just hate this shit and that was what happened with Remember me, they just tried to sell the fact that he is hot rather than the movie itself like S said too!
Rob looks so handsome in this pics with Reese,..I have read wfe book,and it is an amazing story of human survival after the tragedy of losing your loved ones..I'm looking forward for Rob to further demonstrates or show the world that he is not only beautiful but can also act..I agree with everyone who commented that as fans of both Rob and Kristen we should support their films outside Twilight..I am a Robsten fan and I have to admit I do get jealous when I see Rob in a romantic scene with another actress other than Kristen, but I just have to remind myself that in real life Rob has only one woman in his mind and that is Kristen..so i will go to see WFE and BEL AMI next year !
Wow, why so cynical folks? This is Rob's first big movie post Twilight - let's support him without the offhanded comments.
Plus, the story isnt ONLY about the romance betweeen these 2 charaters. If we as fans bring so much negativity - why do we complain when the "non-fans" do it? Not saying we are not allowed to voice our opinions, but some of the comments are a bit unfair and petty.

IMHO Marlena was a bit older than Jacob.
I can't remember the specifics from when I read WFE, but I do think the character of Marlena is a bit older than Jacob. At least it is implied because he is "inexperienced" and "naive" about a lot of things in that world. He is a sheltered, priveledged college kid who runs away to a bottom-of-the-barrel traveling circus. Marlena has lived a "worldly" life and is in an abusive marriage--something that would age even the youngest & most beautiful. So whether or not the age difference is defined in the book, I think it will be effective for the purposes of showing innocence vs experience in the movie.
Love the Marilyn Monroe blonde for Reese's character and well, Rob has to be dirty & sweaty a lot for his role--DARN!!!
I like the great policing on this board, I would guess it makes it a safe place for R/K to come to and see what fans are thinking. Great job Robstenation, keep it clean.

@calihi27..I agree with your comment that working with such acclaimed actors in the business will only improve Rob's career. Whatever Rob can learn from these actors will help him develop his own acting chops. Rob has the innate talent that he can build on and polish to the hilt. Though it is hard sometimes to separate real from reel life (we are only human after all) both Rob and Kristen are comsummate actors who are quite mature for their age and they have both shown enough amount of trust for each other to feel comfortable around other actors when they are working separately.
I have read the book and I have great expectations for Rob's performance in this movie just as much as my expectations for Kristen in OTR. I am not going to be a hypocrite and say that it doesn't bother me when I see Rob working with other female actresses but I do not let it consume me.
You go S, this is your site after all and you have my support when you feel people are crossing the bounds that you have established for mature comments.
Robstenation's right we shouldn't be bickering. After all Rob and Kristen have got to work with other actors. Or do we just want them to stop making movies for us to watch.Any movie they make should be given all our support no matter who is in it with them.
I remember when i came to know that reese and rob were starring in a movie, i was unsure about the pairing and quite wary about it. But when i read the book 'WFE' i could not imagine anyone else as the perfect Jacob and Marlena other than Rob & Reese. I am sure this movie will go on to become a critical success!!!!

It's cool that they’re ignoring the typical double-standard of having the guy being older than the girl in the movies. Rob will be co-starring with older women in BA also, but before you know it, he’ll be starring in movies with much younger love-interests. In Hollywood, it’s okay for men to grow older and be the lead, but for women, getting older means jobs as supporting actresses as mothers, etc. Good for Reese, Sandra Bullock, and a few others who are paving the way for still being the lead actress and possibly with a younger co-star. It bodes well for Kristen when she gets older.

Ooohh!!! Rob looks amazing!!! I'm really excited about this movie! I just know that Rob is going to be fantastic in it. As for Reese, I think she's a talented actress who is quirky and funny. I for one can't wait to see Rob's interaction with the elephant Tai!
And like many of you have said, let's just hope that the promotion for WFE is not going to be another romantic drama like Remember Me, but one that utilises the big named actors like Reese and Christoph, and stays true to the themes of the movie.

I think it's different with Kristen and her co-stars because the men don't go all ga-ga and look all starry eyed. On or off camera. It's strictly professional. That's why for RP, the lesser the love scenes, the lesser the problems and hassle. I would prefer that. Just my 2 cents. Many good movies do not contain heavy making out/sex scenes.

I am really puzzled (and concerned) by this double standard cuz Rob has proven time and time again he is 100% devoted to Kristen.
Seriously, we Robsten fans are our own worst enemies - stressing over things out of our control. Did we not expect them to kiss anybody else in upcoming movies?

i love reese. another great reason to see the movie! of course the first reason is because robert is in it and im supporting him, but also the story seems very interesting!
I'm excited for any project connected to Rob or Kristen and can't wait to see WFE and BA and OTR. I love the unbelievable and sizzling hot chemistry between Rob and Kristen, and love them in the Twilight movies and hope they do other movies together, but if they weren't both great actors, I wouldn't be so excited about their movies. They're amazing, and bottom line, that's the reason I want to see their work, the reason I go to the theater (when the movie actually opens here) and pay to see them multiple times and always buy their DVDS, and one of the reasons I'm such a huge fan. They fill a void that we've had for a while--the ultimate on-screen and off-screen couple, one that's really, truly in love, not fake, not setting up press ops, not adopting 10 kids for attention and dragging them all over the world, just real people with heart and soul and talent. I love, love, love them both and no matter what film they make or whoever else is in it, I'm buying a ticket.
I love a good movie. and I understand for Stewy's fan who find difficult saw Rob with another co-star. I admit I will difficult to see Stewy making out with Garret or Sam. But survive when saw her with Jesse and Ryan Reynold in advantureland LOL.
Like I said I love good movie and I think WFE, BA and OTR are VERY good movie. and I dont care who is their co-stars as long R/K choice intersting roles and good movies

I am excited for WFE but not for Bel Ami. BA for me had a bad script without a purpose and i feel it was very disrespectful of women. I think that is the reason why it is having trouble iwth distribution here. It will be difficult to market it. Just my own two cents though ok .... but I will support both R/K on all their projects. WFE Rob looks gorgeous. I am looking forward for him to take on less brooding romantic roles in the future.

One of my dorm mates didn't want to see RM, because Emilie was not Kristen. Once she saw Kristen had gone to the RM premiere, and in an interview Kristen said it was a good movie she was cool about watching it.
She already told me she doesn't want to see this movie for the same reason. So... my gosh Kristen please be at this premiere. I want to see this movie. I love the book, and my birthday is in April.
I have to read the book first before i watch the movie, so i'll understand the whole story. Reese Witherspoon is my first celebrity idol when i was like 10 years old cause i find her sweet,cute and has a great acting talents :)) i even got addicted to her before but when twilight came.. robsten stole her place lol =)).. and now that im 19 i will still support her films no matter what because i missed seeing her on the big screen. I promise, i'll watch WFE :D.. they both look great in this! I support rob and kristen non twilight movies.

In the book, Marlena is 21, Jacob is 23. Reese has been attached to this project for years...she was the first one cast a long time back...she is one of 3 actresses around that have that kind of pull...Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock are the others. If not for Reese and her commitment to this, there would be NO Rob as Jacob. She looks much younger than 34 and Rob looks a bit older than 24. A 22-24 year old actress would not have the same kind of B.O pull that she has. This looks to be a wonderful,beautiful film. If fans can't accept Rob having onscreen chemistry with another actress,his career will be over.
