WTTR Director Jake Scott Nixes Kristen's 'Stripping Scene'
"I didn't shoot a stripping scene. I refused to do it." Welcome to the Rileys director Jake Scott at a recent screening of his indie flick, when we asked him what he thought about the tabloids focusing on Kristen Stewart's striptease (or lack there of).
The guy was good-natured enough to laugh off the goss, but is adamant that the whole movie would have been different if he'd had K.Stew hit the pole. That's not to say Kristen didn't take her role as a stripper very seriously:
"[Kristen] didn't want to hide," he 'fessed, after explaining the complexity of creating her character, Alison, saying that she had to be sexy and adult, but also young and sleazy.
"She's a very young, very sensitive woman, and the strippers she met while preparing for the role were—she describes them as—'open wounds,'" Jake continued. "And she wanted to represent them in the film."
As for getting "sleazy" for the film, the whole crew seems mucho-impressed with how far the Hollywood hottie was willing to go to ditch her naturally fab looks.
"She didn't want to shy away from that," costume designer Kim Bowen boasted about K.'s less-than-gorge looks in the film.
"Most actresses want to be perfect and pretty. But Kristen is real and looks real. A lot of actresses won't do that. She's a very truthful actress like that."
Oh and just FYI, for the pervs still interested, Kristen's stripper ensemble is no naughtier than a Lady Gaga outfit—some tape over her ta-tas and mile high heels. And aside from some dirty talk and a few semi-glimpses of her derriere, her part isn't as scandalous as the tabs want you to believe. So forget the whole friggin' stripper biz and see the movie because it's good—really good, actually.

ok who the hell is Alison?lol hmmm Teddy boy are we getting a tiny bit confused or? lol.
but i like him defending her as he usually does.
OK I know what this is, but it's a spoiler!
Actually her real name is Alison, and Mallory is the name she used in her "stripper life"! I had read about this before!
if you read the script mallory's real name is alison
Her real name is Alison in the movie. Mallory is what she is called during most of the movie, but, but she has other aliases, too.
ah ok thanks girls,so ted did his homework after all.lol
Sorry, the previous comments weren't there yet when I posted. I just happened to read the script last night and I just checked it and the spelling is Allison.
I think this is going to be a great movie. So moving.
The most charming moment of an sincere atress is when she is 100% devoted to her craft. It's pointless to make yourself look pretty if it doesn't fit into the movie.
What should I say~ Kristen is just professional like that!~
Mon
Kristen loves be an actor not celeb, she's good actor and I'm proud of her!!! Can't wait see WTTR and OTR...good job Kristen!
not to mention in the vma's!! when rob had his arm securely around her shoulders, she was leaning into him and clutching his arm- both looking real cosy- and taylor was standing there unattached... it was so obvious and yet a part of us all had a little doubt that robsten was real.
how did we not see those photos and not 120% believe that robsten is real?
where can you read the script?
I think it would seem too sleezy to have her character do a strip-tease, because the character is a minor, unable to even work in a job like that. So, good call. i prefer the more mild type movies anyway. Nudity is not a good thing in most films. If it is necessary to the plot, then yes, but if it gratuitous (sp?) then no thank you.
I cannot wait to see this movie!! Such rave reviews all around.
To Kathryn,
I don't know how Shaui feels about posting links here. I have a link to the script, but I don't want to post it if she doesn't like that sort of thing.
I also don't know if you want to post your email address here. If you do, I can email it to you.
Or you can google welcome to the rileys script wattpad and that should bring it up.
