Kristen on Rob in Cosmopolis "He's so good in it! I don't even know... I coulnd't understand it. It's so good. I'm so proud of him."
Quotes from Kristen @E! MarcMalkin

I would do it in a heartbeat,” she said at today’s MTV sneak peek of the flick at Universal City Walk. “I know with the people involved it would only be done [because] it’s very worthwhile and it’s a good movie. We wouldn’t just be cashing in.”

And it’s so not like Twilight-like franchise because no one’s contracted to make another SWATH. “We don’t have to do it,” said Stewart, 22. “That’s the coolest thing. There’s no pressure. But to be able to expand on this would be awesome.”

And to think Stewart wasn’t even a Snow White fan when she was growing up. “I had to rewatch it before we went off to shoot,” she said. “Not so much as a reference, but more for fun.” “I wasn’t into any of the princess ones, which I’m sure isn’t much of a surprise,” she added about her favorite childhood stories. “I loved The Jungle Book and Robin Hood and stuff more like that.

Sam Claflin, who plays William in SWATH, said, “My parents bought me this book called Twisted Tales when I was a kid, which is all the fairy tales turned on their heads. At the end of Cinderella, the prince finds out she’s not a princess…so he chops her head off.” Sounds like something Stewart might enjoy? “I’m sure I would,” she said, smiling. “That sounds like fun.” Stewart will be at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday to present with SWATH costar Chris Hemsworth.

Another MTV First-SWATH Cast preview

Full interview starts tonight at 7:56pm ET on MTV continuing on MTV.com at 8pm ET

MTV“The costumes were more damaging than the actual fight sequences,” Theron revealed. “I was way more bruised from my costume than I was from [fighting with Stewart]. Doing a fight sequence in your sweatpants is different than wearing an 80-pound steel thing. I don’t know, you were in leather,” she said to her co-star Chris Hemsworth. “It’s different. [Stewart] was in full metal, I was in full metal, just getting down, it took us four hours,” she said, speaking of the complex setting involved in filming her showdown with Stewart.

Rob and Kristen/Twilight Flashback with Larry Carroll

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com
MTV/Twilight Pro LarryCarroll, the sweet guy who gave us Rob and Kristen's classic on set interviews (Yay! Twilight Tuesdays) recalls via Twitter how it was on set back in 2008.

"Yeah, the chemistry was undeniable. I remember each had a book on their chairs, next to each other. RPattz read Vonnegut. I was on set for 2 full days, and the only time they weren't together was when I did my 1-on-1 with Rob. They were VERY into building chemistry, barely knew each other then. To play such intimate characters for several movies .they knew they had a lot of work to do. Both of them take acting very seriously, even then when relatively young. They'd share books watch movies together, hit local clubs with other actors, etc. As soon as Catherine called "Cut!" they'd almost always head off together.
I've interviewed each dozens of times, most recently for XBox at the BD1 premiere. So glad they've come so far. Would be very cool, since I unearthed that tidbit. But I know a lot of people whose heads would explode from the sexiness! Just KStew there, missed Rob. If you have XBox, keep your eye on the movie coverage there - I produce much of that yumminess.
Was a lot easier in those day. I was the only one who cared. I remember explaining to other reporters what "Twilight" was... EW spelled Stephenie's name wrong, on set a lot of people thought the film would go straight-to-video. When I asked to visit the set....they were kinda shocked. Said "how many days do you want to come up for?" Gave me full access, no embargo. That's extremely rare. I'd say they were equal. Although KStew definitely seemed to take the lead most of the time. She was the more experienced actor."
Thanks to  _oneheartbeat/cocoapup/ robstenninjas via @vonch @KStewAngel

I love SuperJosh but it would be a delight if Mr. Carroll would interview Rob and Kristen for BD2, maybe to talk about Twilight for the last time... to close their TwiSaga experience, so to speak. Yes, to end the Saga full circle. *tears*

SWATH Set Visit Fan Encounter

Lynsey's pics with Kristen and the other cast were posted HERE last December 2011.

MTV"The first person I got to meet was Kristen. We walked onto the set and caught her during a break with the director and Sam. She was in costume and her makeup was flawless. We made introductions, shook hands and were ushered off to see Chris on a different set so that we could come back later for pictures.

Going back to the set where Kristen and Sam were filming was a bit nerve wracking. It was as we entered the stage area that I finally got to introduce myself to HBG.

Here’s how that went:
Me: Hi, I’m Lynsey. I’m one of the girls from your Facebook page. [Shakes his hand]
HBG: Hi. [Something registers in his eyes...he knows!]
Moments later…
Me: Did you go to the University of Kentucky? [Pointing at his UK hat]
HBG: No, I just like the hat. [Eyeing me curiously] Don’t go investigating me!
Me: Oh, no! I was just wondering. [Eyes wide as saucers. Probably blushing.]
A few moments later still…
HBG: [To me] So how did this all come about?
Me: The Facebook page?
HBG: No, the contest. [Grinning at me like I’m crazy]
Me: Oh! [There goes that blushing thing again]

Then he went on to talk to us about how long we’d be in London and what we planned to do while there. He was very nice, but also on the job, so we let him be after our short conversation. Although I did get one last short convo in with him as we left for the day (you’ll have to keep reading to get to that part).

David Cronenberg Reacts to Cosmopolis' Winning the MTV Movie Brawl

Photobucket
Cronenberg on Rob:" He's terrific. He deserves the affection that the fans have for him. He's incredibly sweet, he's very funny, he's very bright and he's also very knowledgeable about cinema. He's just a sweetheart. And he's totally professional. He's always right there... He's just a ray of sunshine... and it was a dream. It was a beautiful shoot."

MTV.com Eric Packer is about to embark upon the worst car ride of his life. Thankfully, Robert Pattinson — the actor who plays Packer in "Cosmopolis" — doesn't share his character's fate.

Pattinson fans came out in full force to elect "Cosmopolis" the winner of the MTV Movie Brawl 2012, a weeks-long tournament that pitted several of 2012's biggest releases against one another to determine which film is the must-see cinematic event of the year. After tense battles against titans like "Bel Ami," "The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn: Part 2," "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Hunger Games," it's Pattinson's upcoming indie thriller that took home the grand prize.

It's a surprising result for many onlookers, given that "Cosmopolis" has yet to release a trailer and only has a tentative release date of 2012. But Rob's fans rallied behind their man, opting to support his future in "Cosmopolis" over his past in "Twilight" — a commanding decision from a massive fanbase that demands attention, to say the least. In fact, the movement was so strong that it even caught "Cosmopolis" director David Cronenberg's eye even before the film won the brawl for it all. Shortly after the victory was announced, Cronenberg got on the phone with MTV News to talk about what "Cosmopolis" winning the MTV Movie Brawl means for the film, Pattinson's performance, when fans can expect to see a trailer and much more.

MTV: David, thanks for talking with us! Have you been filled in on what's happened with "Cosmopolis" over here?
David Cronenberg: You know, I've been following it! I'm shocked! I'm shocked and amazed and really tickled. It proves that movie fans are unpredictable and really interesting and really passionate. It's fantastic. I would have never, ever imagined that this would happen.

Paul Giamatti Comments on Cosmopolis Winning the MTV Movie Brawl, Mentions Rob

Thanks to RPLife

MTV Rob's Cosmopolis Wins MTV Brawl 2012 (53.78% over The Hunger Games).
The final buzzer has sounded, the brawl for it all is over, and Robert Pattinson is the last man standing: "Cosmopolis" has won MTV Movie Brawl 2012.

His indie drama made for one hell of a Cinderella story in the vote-driven tournament to pick the must-see movie of the year. Entering the bracket as a #4 seed (following an impressive showing in the play-in round), "Cosmopolis" appeared to be facing an unavoidable Elite Eight ouster. What were the chances Pattinson's cerebral film about a young finance wiz taking a day-long limo ride though New York City would beat "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"? Apparently pretty good. Fans banded together, choosing to support RPattz's post-vampire career rather than the franchise that made him a star. "Breaking Dawn" was sent packing.

And so, after easily fighting off "The Dark Knight Rises," "Cosmopolis" came to face "The Hunger Games," a brand-new franchise that had waltzed through the tournament and seemed to be the odds-on favorite to win the whole tourney. But it was not to be. After more than 3 million votes and a slew of lead changes, Pattinson's film beat back Jennifer Lawrence's series to become the undisputed champion of the Movie Brawl.

Hours before voting closed Monday afternoon (January 23), with "Cosmopolis" staking out an insurmountable lead and the MTV Movies team at the Sundance Film Festival, we broke the news to Pattinson's co-star, Paul Giamatti, that their film had won the tournament.

"Holy cow, that's astounding!" he said. "The fact of that is amazing. ... That's a really cool thing that it brings that visibility to that movie."

It's been a whirlwind few weeks in the tournament, so we'd like to thank all the fans who voted. The Brawl broke bigger than we could have ever hoped. Well over 5 million votes were cast. The competition spread wildly over Twitter and Facebook. Our comments sections caught fire as fans debated, argued and rallied. In the end, though, only one film could stand as the undisputed champion of the MTV Movie Brawl. Pattinson, Giamatti, director David Cronenberg and everyone connected to "Cosmopolis" — we salute you!

Congrats to everyone!

David Cronenberg gives Cosmopolis Update and Says Rob Impressed Paul Giamatti

When the director walked the red carpet last week at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in support of his film "A Dangerous Method," he stopped to speak again with MTV News' Josh Horowitz, revealing which scenes in particular were the most challenging for Pattinson.

"Probably the last couple of days was where there was just a long, long, maybe 15-minute scene with Paul Giamatti, just the two of them in a couple of rooms," Cronenberg said. In "Cosmopolis," Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a young millionaire who just wants to get his hair cut. Things go awry when his limo gets stuck in traffic and a stalker, played by Giamatti, causes even more trouble.

Cronenberg said that one of the biggest testaments to Pattinson's skill as an actor was the effect he had on his Academy Award-nominated co-star. "They were both brilliant, and Paul was really impressed," he said. "If Paul's impressed, he's a good judge of other actors, and he said so publicly."

The director is simultaneously promoting "A Dangerous Method" and putting the finishing touches on "Cosmopolis." Cronenberg said that juggling both has never been an issue: "I've edited 'Cosmopolis,' and I'm about to go to Paris next week to do the sound mix of it, but I can switch over. It's like having two kids. When one kid comes through the door, you're there for that kid." More at MTV

Breaking Dawn Costume Designer Michael Wilkinson talks BD, Rob, and Kristen

Photobucket Photobucket

MTV Style The most critical element with this movie is, of course, the wedding (*spoiler alert* though, ed note: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT TWICE ALREADY?), and this was misleading in the previews but there’s a dream sequence wedding and a real wedding. How did you delineate the two dresses from each other?
The script gave us a great opportunity to get inside Bella’s thoughts about the impending wedding. There’s a nightmare wedding and her perfect wedding. For the nightmare, we chose something that was a version of the dress that she would hate to wear. Something that’s uncomfortable and a dress Bella would be embarrassed in. It was stiff and had a boned bodice that showed a lot of bare skin which she’d be horrified by because she’s a bit of a tomboy.

There’s nothing very girly about her style so we had a huge, cumbersome, puffy skirt. We just tried to picture everything she’d find difficult to deal with and import that into a dress.

The real dress fit Bella like a second skin and I was really glad about how all that worked out. It reflects her simplicity and elegance. It’s not too girly, I thought it really hit the right note of having some vintage elements while working well for a modern woman.

That dress was stunning. I went to the midnight screening and it was an entire theater filled to the gills with girls sighing in unison. The lace panel in the back with hundreds of covered buttons, we all swooned.
That’s the great thing about Kristen, she has such an amazing physique so we thought the best thing to do was to show that. The dress really reveals curves and highlights each part of her shape but it’s all covered up and so we thought it was sexy but completely elegant.
