Give us your take on Kristen’s character. Do you see her as a Christian hero?
There’s definitely a spiritual side, I’d say. It’s the Joseph Campbell The Hero With a Thousand Faces you know, she’s the archetypal mythical hero, so they are always given those characteristics. In hindsight, there’s a few things in there, in that she’s walking on water and these things are quite religious but I think ultimately she is a spiritual being, she is drawn by that and people are drawn to her because of that.

Via GlamourUK Q: Kristen, what was it about the role of Snow White – such an iconic role – that attracted you to the project in the first place? 
Kristen Stewart: I always wanted to find something where I could really challenge myself physically, I really like that... Charlize is really like me, we really will hurt ourselves for the job. I like that opportunity. But what I really dug about this was you’ve got someone who has the gusto, and as an audience member you take a lot of satisfaction in watching her kick ass. But she’s not a dude, she remains so sort of steady, we’re not built to be physically strong – it’s all about the fact you have to be smarter than someone, you have to be quicker...
Charlize Theron: I’m a man in heels, basically...
KS: I hate girl power movies where the people you’re rooting for are not girls, and that was why this movie really attracted me.

 TooFab How was it acting with Kristen? 
Sam: I'm very lucky to work with such people. I'm scared I've been spoiled. Kristen was an absolute pleasure. She's so young and so talented. Here she is ... the most famous person on the planet. People think actresses like her are going to be a diva; not generous with her time. She was down-to-earth, generous, professional and hardworking.

toofab: She has a reputation for being notoriously shy. 
Sam: On a set like this everyone is quite nervous. I never found she was too shy to talk. She was incredibly inviting.

toofab: They joke that the go-to accent in fantasy films is British. As a native Brit how did you fare? 
Sam: I was the lucky one, I was the only one to have his own accent. It was great that I didn't have that added pressure. I was knocked for six [British expression for being completely floored] hearing Kristen speak with an accent. I was so used to her speaking as an American. She had the perfect English accent.

Celebuzz Charlize Theron has been extremely vocal about her admiration for fellow-actress Kristen Stewart, all of which was present at the premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman Monday night in London. But when did this love-fest actually begin? “It happened within the first five minutes of meeting her,” Charlize, 37, told Celebuzz exclusively at the premiere. “We were on a plane going to San Diego, for ComicCon, and I just fell in love with her.”

 

  YahooUK At the Snow White and the Huntsman premiere last night, Kristen Stewart's co-star Sam Claflin, who plays the heartthrob prince, spoke to omg! We asked if the British actor helped K-Stew in perfecting her British accent to which he replied:

"I didn't need to give her any tips, I think she had Rob to help with that." Liberty Ross who plays K-Stew's on screen mother, Queen Eleanor, told us: "Kristen's accent is very sweet, I like it."

And speaking of stellar acting chops, Sam couldn’t help but gush over Kristen’s portrayal of Snow White and insisted she’s an incredibly dedicated actress: “She’s really really challenged herself physically, mentally, vocally—every sort of side of it. And she’s very hard working,” Sam revealed with clear admiration.

“All I can say is she’s pulled it off marvelously. I hope everyone agrees.” But that’s not all Sam had to spill, not only did he reveal that this role is a completely different departure for Kris, but there’s another challenging aspect K.Stew had to master: “She’s [her character] completely different, she’s English for a start,” Sam explained.

 Elle UK: You worked closely with Kristen Stewart on Snow White. How was it to be near to that level of fame?
Sam Claflin: Awkward! [laughs] I know its quite hard for her to have a normal life, to go to the shops in the afternoon, and I'm blessed that at the moment I still live an absolutely regular life. I get to stay mysterious.

Elle UK: Who do you compare yourself to? 
SC: … My first job ever was with Eddie [Redmayne] in the Pillars of the Earth and I’ve witnessed him grow as an actor – he looks so at home, it all seems to come very easily to him. Popsugar Sam Claflin is one of Kristen Stewart's two leading men in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman, which hits theaters June 1. We stopped by the London set of SWATH in October to sit down with the cast and crew and learn a little bit more about the highly anticipated dark retelling of a classic fairy tale. Sam, who plays Prince William in the film, is relatively new to the big screen after making his debut in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides last year. While on the SWATH set, Sam shared this cute story about having the same taste in music as Kristen and a connection they made through a favorite singer:

"There is a guy called Marcus Foster. Basically a guy played at my birthday, this sort of big musician who I love, and I went to go and see him at another gig, and supporting him was Marcus Foster. So, I went backstage and to meet Marcus, and he was telling me about this music video that he's about to do that Kristen [Stewart] has just starred in. Then when I saw Kristen next, I said, 'I can't believe you did that. You know him and he knows you, and he knows Rob [Pattinson].' So, again, it's all this small world. So namely him, but I think -- I have a feeling our sort of music tastes are very much in tune."

Teen.com Ok, let’s talk about Kristen Stewart. What’d you know about her before meeting her?
Sam: I knew of her. Everyone in the world does. But no. I knew of her and I’m a big fan of everything she’s involved with up until now. The first time I met her we kind of had a talk. We realized we have a lot of things in common. We like the same sort of music. We have a few friends in common. Yeah, small world. It’s such a small world.

Teen.com: What kinda music are you into?

Teen.com: What’s Kristen’s costume like? Very princessy?
Sam: She tends to sort of not be in any princess-like costumes, which is good for her and kind of gives her that badass sort of fighting spirit, I suppose, but she looks pretty damned awesome. Thumbs up.

Teen.com: Have you gotten any injuries on set?
Sam: No. I think I sort of tripped over a stair, which is my own fault. I can’t blame injury on that. But the other day I think Take 1 of riding a horse on to a certain scene, I fell off. I think the thought of me trying to get up again was quite difficult, so I was just laying there kind of going, “Oh-h-h.” But I remember Kristen just trying to winch me back up on to my feet, and I thought, “I’m not moving. I can’t move. I’m just going to stay here. I’m happier.”

MySpace.com You have ‘Snow White and the Huntsmen,’ (opposite Kristen Stewart) how did that come about?
Well, I auditioned for it a while ago, but it just became sort of official like not yesterday, but the day before. I found out a while ago but the offer was there and I’m, you know, very excited about getting sort of my teeth stuck into something new as well.
When you audition for these big parts, are there kind of a group of guys that you know are also going to end up reading for it?
I’ve never bumped into another guy. But Max Irons is a guy I keep sort of seeing around and as much as I love him, I hate him because he usually beats me to it, but I know he’s an incredible actor and I’m honored to know that I’m even being considered next to him, you know, and it’s, I’m very lucky to sort of be in these rooms with these amazing actors, you know. I’m very, very blessed.

What about actresses that you’ve screen tested with?
I’ve screen tested with Amanda Seyfried during ‘Red Riding Hood.’ And Astrid, and I think, that’s it, really.

You didn’t with Kristen for ‘Snow White’?
No. No. I didn’t. Unfortunately not.

Have you met her?
No. I’m excited to because I’m a big fan of hers.
(I’m genuinely shocked. Can you tell?) That’s crazy that they cast and you guys haven’t even met each other.
It’s a bit crazy.

No!

So there was no chemistry read, you were cast separately for your roles?
No, but from my understanding she seems like an absolute legend of a girl. I have a friend who worked with her, my friend Eddie Redmayne, and he says she’s really down to earth, really talented. She’s so talented, I’m a big fan of hers. So fingers crossed there’ll be chemistry. But no, I didn’t have the opportunity to meet her, which is a bit of a shame.
