The hunky actor is currently working on Water for Elephants which is about a handsome young veterinarian who joins the circus and also stars Reese Witherspoon. Robert had to shoot several scenes with a Jack Russell terrier, and got so attached to the pooch he has decided to give him a new home.
“The trainer said yes, but that it would cost Rob because he’s a show dog with special acting skills,” an insider giggled. “Rob laughed and said he’d pay whatever. He loves that little pooch.”
It is unknown when Robert will be allowed to take the mutt home, or what he has decided to name him.
The actor and Reese have got on famously on set, amazing movie bosses with the strong relationship they have forged. The pair became close as soon as they met at a table reading, and have enjoyed every moment of working together.
“Their chemistry is magic,” an insider reported. “They joke a lot and Rob has her blushing and laughing all the time. He's very charming. He went on about how she is this beautiful, super-famous Academy Award winner, and Reese loved it.
“She was flattered and giggling while he teased. It's cute and it makes for a great movie set. Everyone is excited because they fit so well together."

I hope this is true but the latter part with the 'Reese-Rob chemistry' connection makes the article a bit too gossipy. *coughfakecough* Oh well.

LOL! Garfield-Odie scenario, that's hilarious! I agree that the latter part of the article with the whole Reese-chemistry thing is very gossipy sounding, so really can't take that part of the article seriously. If this article is true about Rob adopting "Queenie" that is so cute! If not, still a fun read. We all know that Rob wants a dog!

Where did this story come from? I have never read such glowing remarks Rob has made about anyone including Kristen. And the movie bosses being amazed...it is all creepy and I trust this is fabricated.
As far as the dog...well, I hope he gets the dog ONLY if he can really take care of it...if not it is not fair to the sweet dog.
I think next time, if he says hi to another celebrity, they would announce "people their chemistery between Rob and... this... whatever is super magical", come on, really? I love Reese and I admire her but in this paricular movie whenever there was a pic, I thought they are not a good match and I am not sure if it was Reese hair style of dresses but she looked much older than him vs, he looked much younger than his age like 18- 19 years old boy. The dog is a cutie.

I really dont believe this. Like, at all. Movie dogs would NEVER be up for adoption. They are specially trained just for movie and commercial roles. I think this source took the cute picture of him with a dog and ran with it.

If there is any truth to this article about Rob flattering Reese, I think it is just Rob's famous gentlemanly ways that we all just love. There are plenty of glowing remarks for Kristen in previous interviews too. I am pretty sure that Rob would always say nice things about his female co-stars, that's just him, chivalrous Rob! His parents raised him well! And if any "insider" said about magic chemistry between Rob and Reese (even if there's very little or none), well..they are trying to sell a movie, no one in a right mind would say a "bad" chemistry, right? But of course, R/K chemistry is just..too magical!

Something to fishy about this. I dont think its true! I would be really sweet if he was adopting the dog. I cant see a trainer just letting a dog like that go. I dont see Rob and Reese getting relationship close like this article is implying either. Like the dog story it is cute! I dont think its real though.
I remember I read the chemistery part of this article when they just had started filming and another part of it was that Rob was telling everyone on the set that he is single, ya right. The second part of this article comes from that infamous report Fox411 did on May 27 and Gossip Cop debunked it at that time. The first part is new and as Anonymous 2:06 said I really doubt he can adopt the cute little dog even if he wanted because it is a trained dog (for movies and stuff) and I'm sure his owner loves it, I know I would never let anyone adopt a pet I have dedicated so much time and love.
But the idea of Rob having a home to keep a pet is very nice indeed.
