HollywoodLife OMG! Don’t get upset ladies, but Robert Pattinson could have been playing on your iPods all the time!
A source tells us that R-Patz took meetings with record producers in London last year after Twilight was first released about releasing his own CD.
“Robert had already sent over various demos before he became famous,” says our insider. “He had been in talks with several record companies based on his Harry Potter fame, but obviously when Twilight kicked off execs sat up and paid attention.”
But why haven’t we seen “Robert Pattinson: Songs From the Night” anywhere yet? “He said he didn’t want to cash in on his post-Twilight fame and suggested that he record anonymously because he wanted to be considered for his craft as a song-writer and singer, not because he was Edward Cullen,” says our leak, who adds that Rob didn’t end up inking a deal because the record companies decided his sound wasn’t commercially viable without his name attached.
In fact, Rob – who recorded two songs on the Twilight soundtrack – told this month’s Paris Match, “I write songs, that’s true….[but] I don’t want to release an album which has a stick on it saying, ‘By the vampire of Twilight on it.’ If the record is released one day there won’t be my name or my picture on the cover. Everyone would be biased. No one would listen to it.”
What do you think? Would you buy Rob’s album, even if it didn’t have anything to do with Twilight?
Bobby Dupea may be revived!!! But seriously, change the title please. It too cheezy even for Twihards like me. Come on, it will sell there is no question about that. Is there are part of Rob that is not commercially viable? I think there were people fired again from that record label for lack of vision.
