Rob Donated a Private Screening of BD for 20 People to be Auctioned at GoGo Gala

Photobucket
E!onLine Marc Malkin Robert Pattinson has given young girls—and everyone else, for that matter—another reason to love him even more.

Here's how it came about: About a year ago, Pattinson donated a meet and greet with fans on the set of Breaking Dawn for a charity auction.

Not only did a Chicago family win the coveted prize with a bid of $80,000, but...
The money raised by Pattz for the Go Campaign is being used 100 percent to build a permanent home for PAGE (Program Advancing Girls Education), an organization helping to educate teen girls in Cambodia.

PAGE currently houses 12 girls in a rented facility. Sadly, they've had to move several times over the last three years because of health and safety concerns.

The new home will accommodate 20 girls. Run by Cambodian monks in Siem Reap, Cambodia, PAGE has also bought a piece of land large enough for its own vegetable garden to help feed the students.

And now we're happy to report that Pattinson is helping the Go Campaign again! He's donated a private screening of Breaking Dawn for 20 people that will take place in Los Angeles on Nov. 17, the night before the movie opens in theaters.

Guests will also take home a Twilight gift bag that includes signed posters, DVDs and a replica of Bella's wedding ring, among many other goodies.

Like last year, Pattinson's package is part of the auction that coincides with the Go Campaign's Go Go Gala. Hosted by Ewan McGregor, the fourth annual event takes place Nov. 10 at the London Hotel in Los Angeles.

The set visit was the highest bid ever for a Go Campaign auction. Will R.Pattz shatter his own record this time around? We have a feeling he will.

Starlight Foundation In the media lately it has been known that Reese Witherspoon is blown away by co-star Robert Pattinson's popularity: "I think all I can do is stand back and sort of watch it happen because I'm not used to seeing somebody have so many fans". One of these fans is Starlight wish girl, Samantha.

Not only was Friday 6th May Starlight Day it was also a VERY special day for Samantha as she was granted her Starlight wish. Whilst over 3,000 people turned up to get only a glimpse of the Twilight star, Robert Pattinson, Samantha got to meet him in person. She was the envy of every young fan meeting Robert at his hotel in Sydney. She also got to go down the red carpet for the movie premiere of 'Water for Elephants'.

A Starlight wish is like a dream come true for a seriously ill young child. Sharing a special, once-in-a-lifetime wish brings a family together, and is an experience that stays with them forever. Fundraising Auction: Win An Autographed 'Water for Elephants' Book and Speak Out Against Domestic Violence

Via LetMeSign

One in four women in the U.S. will become a victim of abuse or partner violence in her life. To help end this devastating cycle, Speak Out Against Domestic Violence was launched in 2004 to build awareness, to educate, and to develop and implement prevention and direct service programs.
One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime
85% of domestic violence victims are women
Females who are 20-24 years of age are at the greatest risk of nonfatal intimate partner violence
Most cases of domestic violence are never reported to the police
Witnessing violence between one’s parents or caretakers is the strongest risk factor of transmitting violent behavior from one generation to the next
Through the end of 2010, in the U.S. alone, they have provided more than $23 million for the domestic violence and gender violence causes.
LetMeSign had the privilege of attending the New York City Premiere of Water for Elephants starring Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon. As you know, Reese is an Honorary Chairperson for the Avon Foundation’s Speak Out Against Domestic Violence. During the premiere they had the opportunity of talking to her and Robert Pattinson regarding this auction and they were both pleased and excited at the idea. The site believes that every bit helps and as fans we can make a difference. Instead of keeping what they obtained they are putting it to a good cause.

They are putting up for auction our copy of the movie tie in Water for Elephants book autographed by author Sara Gruen , actors Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Mark Povinelli. (who plays Kinko in the film).

Go bid at the Giving Works eBay page today! Together we can help those who are too scared or vulnerable to speak up. It’s time we all Speak Out against violence.

To celebrate Kristen's 21st birthday on April 9th, my blog has joined forces with Twilightish, to help raise money for Covenant House, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping child runaways get off the streets.

In her recent Vogue interview, Kristen said that "Her plan is to find a way to help teenage runaways get back on their feet, a subject close to her heart after her role in Welcome to the Rileys." What better birthday present than to help fulfill Kristen's wish.

21 other sites have joined in this effort and will be promoting this project until April 9th, Kristen's birthday, at which point all funds raised will be given to Covenant House in Kristen Stewart's name.

Just head on to Twilightish to make your donations.

Rob and Kristen Help Benefit The Special Olympics of Southern California

Special Olympics Southern California celebrated its 14th Annual Pier Del Sol event Sunday, all to benefit an organization that has helped some 13,000 athletes during the past 13 years.

In a Silent Auction heavy on sports memorabilia and spa packages, a tribute to the “Twilight” series hysteria was the highlight. A five-foot long red wool cloak featured in the film and autographed by the film’s stars (including Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) spurred envious gasps from young girls and bidding was intense among heavily-lobbied parents. For the losers, consolation bid items included a framed poster signed by 15 of the film’s actors.

To learn more about the Special Olympics of Southern California go HERE

The 5-foot, wool cloak has been autographed by Twilight stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Michael Welch, Chaske Spencer and Alex Meraz. It was worn during the shooting of the San Marco’s Day Festival in Volterra, Italy

The deadline to bid on the cloak is Oct. 16 at 5:45 p.m. To bid on the cloak, visit www.sosc.org/twilightcloak Starting bid is $500.00.

17 framed poster that is signed by 15 of the film’s actors, including Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Chaske Spencer, Xavier Samuel, Bryce Dallas Howard, Alex Meraz, Jackson Rathbone and Kirsten Prout.

The deadline to bid on the poster is Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. To bid on the poster, visit www.sosc.org/twilightposter. Starting bis is $250.00.

Both the cloak and poster come with a letter from Summit Entertainment to provide assurance of authenticity. Summit Entertainment, which produced the Twilight movies, donated the cloak, and proceeds from the auction will benefit the 13,000 athletes of Special Olympics Southern California.

CloseUp of Rob's Artwork for the Missing Children Charity

There's no doubt about it: right now Robert Pattinson is the most famous actor in the world. His role as cold-skinned, warm-hearted vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie saga has propelled this young British actor to idol status almost overnight. But - perhaps taking a cue from his character, who loves humanity despite himself - Mr. Pattinson hasn't let his grueling production schedule or his mega-fame keep him from contributing regularly to causes he cares about. We're grateful that Rob made time to design this one-of-a-kind, original sketch for PACT's auction benefiting missing children, and we know you're grateful, too ... where else are you, RPattz fanatic, going to buy what may just be an original self portrait penned by Rob himself that will go to aid such a great cause? You just won't. So get excited, get that blood pumping, think about Edward Cullen's eyes and go bid now!
