It would appear that not only is Robert Pattinson being used to promote the British Academy Film Awards in their promotional video but his popularity is also being put to use on their promotional posters.

Like you guys I'm also hoping that Rob will attend the event with Kristen, we just have to wait  for further word from the organizers regarding this.

Flashback Post: Kristen and Rob at last year's BAFTA

Collection of 'Rob and Kristen at the BAFTA' videos from last year. Don't forget to watch on February 13th for this year's ceremony. We hope to see Kristen traditionally hand out the Orange BAFTA to this year's winner. And it would be doubly wonderful if fellow Britpack Andrew Garfield win the prestigious award. Of course, we're hoping for Rob to attend the BAFTA, too.

Noel Clarke Blogs About Meeting Kristen

Noel Clarke last year's recipient of BAFTA's Rising Star Award blogged about Kristen and it was so good that I had to share it with all of you. This is just an excerpt of what he had to say upon meeting our baby girl, I would suggest to read his full entry. Thanks to Christina for the tip. Hugs you!

"So what did I get from our little chat and the hand on the shoulder in the pic. And these are my opinions only. I got a sense of a lovely, nervous and shy girl who respected the other actors she was up against and was a bit overwhelmed by winning. More importantly than that, I see a girl got into this acting job because she wants to actually act and play different roles. There is a difference between wanting to act and wanting to be a star.

It’s difficult at any age when you can’t go anywhere with out people wanting a piece of you, and she is still young. People who said she was weird on stage, well… I don’t really agree. It’s a little daunting up there, I would love to see some of her detractors get up in front of 2000 or so people with only your name as notice, (she didn’t know she was getting it) and half of those people be people that do the same job as you and are looking at you from head to toe, and all you want to do is just not fall over. It’s not easy.

In closing, don’t have a bad word to say about Ms Stewart. And there is no agenda here, I’m not kissing anyone’s ass. I don’t do that… I’m not getting anything for this, I don’t profess to know her because of our one meeting, I’m not on her radar, probably won’t get to work with her and I may never see her again, But she was genuinely a really, very nice girl, and being on the jury I had to watch almost every movie she’s done, that we could get our hands on from the last few years and the girl can fucking act, there is no question about that.

So. Would i have liked Nick to win..? Sure.

Am i upset that Kristen won? No way.

Did she deserve to win? Yeah she did, and i’m glad she did.

She was talented enough for us jury members to put her there in the first place and the public support her the most. Done deal.

She may be a Mega star now, but she is still a rising star in terms of where her career is going, because just being in a blockbuster doesn’t make you a good actor. The girl is talented and has made some smart choices beyond the big movies.

So mark my words… If anyone will be known for much more than twilight in about 20 years time, it’ll be her. NoelClarke.tumbler.com

Kristen Says BAFTA Nomination, Win Was "Crazy".

Thanks to CullenNewsCom for the YT vid.

"I mean we've been here a couple of times for the 'Twilight' press and they’ve always been pretty cool," Kristen said about the British fans who voted her the winner of the Orange Rising Star award at the BAFTAs over the weekend. "It feels really good. I've never been to an award shows, especially of this caliber and especially considering that I'm actually up for something is crazy."
Before she graced the stage to accept the Orange Rising Star award at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards on Sunday (February 21) in London, "Twilight" superstar Kristen Stewart chatted about the overwhelming fan support she had been receiving while in the U.K. It is the same fan support that garnered her an award on Sunday.

While Kristen had no problem making her speech once she got up to the stage to accept her award, as it turns out as she was walking the carpet earlier that night she seemed to have a little stage fright about her chances of remembering what she'd want to say once she got up there. "I have like three sentences that I really hope to God [I remember]," she shared. "Anyone of the other nominees could win and I would be [fine]. I don’t know if you’ve seen 'Prophet' or 'An Education'. I'm so proud of everyone."

Kristen hasn't been shy about her gratitude for her fans. Recently she sat down with MTV News at the junket for her latest flick, "The Yellow Handkerchief" she had only kind words for the fan support that may have had something to do with the release of the small indie flick. "I mean, that's amazing," she explained. "I like them, and why [wouldn't they get a release]? People should see them."

Kristen's Winning The BAFTA Vid Analysis

For all you guys who missed it. Well, I almost did because I was so busy blogging and you have got to admit the show was boring as hell, except for the Rob and Kristen parts. I would like to thank my sweetie, KPattzNews for pointing this out to me. The BAFTA coverage failed big time for not showing us some critical (LOL) reactions of Rob when Kristen won and was making her speech nor did they pan on Kristen when Rob was on stage during his presentation. Think of all the money shots we missed, tsk, tsk. Does BAFTA have outtakes? LOL
Well, anyway we have to make do of what we have and this what came up.

0:44 You can see where Rob and Kristen were seated

0:57 Smiles directly at Rob's direction. Precious BAFTA RobSten moment!

So that's it. She smiled at Rob's direction but we cannot see if he was looking at her or not. Again, thanks to the amazing *snort* TV coverage. About that hand on his shoulder thing? Well, I guess we have to pay big bucks to pay for the full cut of this sequence to find out. So far, it is a myth at this point...but it is a possibility.

Kristen Win Best Dressed At The BAFTA

"Twilight star Kristen Stewart looked picture-perfect in white strapless dress by Chanel. The actress teamed her embellished dress with ivory Roger Vivier shoes and a statement black ring."

The "statement ring" is her Chanel Camelia. Find my previous post about her fave ring HERE

InStyle.UK reports that Kristen Stewart’s beautiful glistening dress that she wore to the BAFTA Awards was made by Chanel -

Kristen took to the stage in a sparkling Chanel dress and thanked her fans: ‘First I have to thank all the fans of Twilight for proving again and again to be the most devoted and attentive fans.’

She went on to praise the other nominees in the Rising Star category saying: ‘I’m so blown away by you I can’t even describe it and to be considered amongst you is overwhelming.’

Kristen looked absolutely stunning last night. And the fact that she was so grateful and humble in regards to her win made her look even more beautiful!

Rob Congratulates Bel Ami's Jenny Shircore For Her BAFTA Win

BelAmiFilmCom
Robert Pattinson did a bang up job presenting an award for Original Screenplay at the BAFTA’s today but are you curious about who he congratulated before he got on with the task at hand. We were too.

Rob, being the sweetheart that he is, took the time to congratulate Jenny Shircore on her BAFTA win for MAKE UP & HAIR: THE YOUNG VICTORIA. Why would he go out of his way to thank her, well because she is currently working with Rob on Bel Ami.

If she’s responsible for his hair, then imma thank and congratulate her too because Rob looks very very hot in Bel Ami.

Rob and Prince William Topped Men's Fashion At the BAFTAs

The surprise of Prince William and delight of Robert Pattinson definitely gave the two men an advantage tonight at the BAFTA awards. Dressing formal but classy the two men approached the red carpet with fans stretching their hands out to say hello in every which way.

While neither would have gotten an award as they were not nominated, there is no doubt if there was a category for fashion, they would have won. Bright and cheery the two men stopped and posed for photographers while waving and smiling to the fans.

Not running into each other formally outside on the Red carpet, it is said the two briefly exchanged formalities when inside and getting ready to be seated.

The BAFTA awards are a huge event in the UK and when royalty attends it becomes even bigger.

Red carpet frenzy

Twilight star Robert Pattinson was the object of their frenzied adoration, while it was left to girlfriend Kristen Stewart to give them a nod after winning the Rising Star award.

"They are the most devoted and attentive fans," said the American actress, who may well have their votes to thank for her success.

Pattinson outdid another young man who gave this year's Baftas a special touch that only the Oscars could dream about. Prince William, the new president of Bafta, stopped to have pictures taken with fans.

TheFeed Talks to Kristen About Her BAFTA Award

TheFEED.Orange.Co.UK
Tonight Twilight Saga actress and superstar in the making, Kristen Stewart, beat off stern competition to scoop the Orange Rising Star Award 2010.

In demand as she is, we had five minutes to quiz her about her triumph at tonight's Orange British Academy Film Awards...

The Orange Rising Star Award is the only BAFTA award that's voted for by the public: what does it feel like to have such overwhelming support here in the UK?
It feels really good. Twilight really is a phenomenon and this is a tribute to that. And at the same time, I'm so proud to be part of a generation of people that are so good, you know, it's really incredible. It's nice to see a good crop.

Of the other Orange Rising Star Award nominees who do you most admire?
Oh man, I really can't go there. Jesse Eisenberg is a good friend of mine and Carey this year just blew me away. And I don't know if you've seen A Prophet, but that is an incredible movie. So that's why I feel like we should all have gone up there.

What was the red carpet atmosphere like for you tonight?
I was really surprised because I'm used to showing up at Twilight premieres and the fans are screaming the names, and that's to be expected. But not here at the BAFTAs, you know?! So that was surreal, and cool, at the same time. You know, they (the fans) even sort of knew their place a bit more, they were a little quieter and stuff.

So what's new for you in 2010?
I have three movies coming out this year: 'Welcome to the Reillys', ''The Runaways' and 'Twilight Eclipse' . We start shooting 'Breaking Dawn' in November, but I don't have a job after that. Yet!

Time for a holiday then?
Yes!
