Robert Pattinson $26.5 million 
Pattinson has been diligently pursuing work outside of Twilight but so far, he hasn’t had any successes. Remember Me, in 2010 failed to connect with an audience. Last year’s Water for Elephants turned a nice profit because it was made on such a low budget but it was hardly a blockbuster. With Twilight ending, Pattinson will have more chances to prove himself outside of the franchise.

Taylor Lautner $26.5 million 
While Lautner and his Twilight costar Robert Pattinson earned the same amount of money last year, only Lautner made our Celebrity 100. That’s because thanks to the movie Abduction, he had more publicity. This fall’s Breaking Dawn — Part 2 will be the final Twilight movie. After that, Lautner will have to prove that he’s more than just Jacob.

Forbes Ranking second behind Grint and Watson is reported real-life couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, the stars of the Twilight franchise. All of the Twilight films to date have hit theaters in the last five years, earning $2.5 billion at the global box office. While the Harry Potter series is mostly about Potter’s journey, the Twilight franchise is centered on Stewart and Pattinson’s characters, the human Bella and the vampire Edward. In the most recent movie they got married, with disastrous results. Forbes Top Grossing Actors of 2011 List To compile our list we used global box office numbers from Box Office Mojo...Robert Pattinson ranks fourth on our list with $750 million. He tops his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart (who ranks sixth with $633 million) thanks to the film adaptation of Water for Elephants. The film wasn’t a big hit in the U.S. but globally it brought in a healthy $117 million – pretty good considering the budget was only $38 million. Read more

Pattinson's biggest hit of the year was Breaking Dawn, the fourth Twilight movie. But he also earns from Water for Elephants which brought in $117 million.

Number 6 Kristen Stewart - $633 million

The only woman on our list, Stewart earned only from the latest Twilight movie this year. Next year she’s got the potential to earn a lot more thanks to a final Twilight movie and Snow White and the Huntsman.

Stewart tops our list thanks to her paydays for two Twilight movies: New Moon and Eclipse. She ranks higher than her costar Robert Pattinson (even though they earn the same amount on the films) because he has branched out more so only one of his Twilight films is eligible for this list.

No. 3 Robert Pattinson -For every $1 Pattinson is paid, his films earn an average of $39.43.
The Twilight star ranks lower than Kristen Stewart because he’s been busy. Only one of his Twilight films, Eclipse, qualifies for the list. The other films we looked at for Pattinson were Water for Elephants and Remember Me.

To compile our list we used information gathered for the Celebrity 100 to look at the last three non animation movies each actor starred in over that last three years. We added each actor's upfront and backend pay on all three movies to come up with a total compensation number. We then added up the operating income of the three movies to come up with a total operating income number and then divided total operating income by total compensation. Each return on investment number represents how much the studio is paid for every dollar invested in the star.

Coming last, but not least, is Twilight’s Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who have both earned $20 million last year thanks to the franchise’s global success, making their combined annual salary $40 million. With the end of the Twilight franchise in sight, they both are preparing for a post-vampire career. Pattinson has taken the lead in more “serious” projects, like Remember Me, which earned $56 million on a budget of $16 million. In the meantime, Stewart’s not-Twilight career hasn’t been as promising as her co-star and real-life boyfriend’s so far. Her 2010 film The Runaways grossed only $4.6 million at the box office. But there’s still hope for Stewart: next month she will be seen in cinemas playing the leading role in the film Snow White and the Huntsman.

Robert Pattinson - $20 million

Forbes.com The Twilight star branched out recently with Water for Elephants, which costarred Reese Witherspoon. The film did OK but its box office was a drop in the bucket compared to the Twilight films. With two movies left, expect Pattinson to keep earning big for the next two years.

While romance might take a backseat to action in many of the movies on our list, it's the driving force in the Twilight films. It doesn't hurt that Pattinson and Stewart are also a couple in real life. So far the movies have earned $1.8 billion at the global box office. Pattinson's next film is an adaptation of the bestselling book Water for Elephants.

Like her costar Pattinson, Stewart starred in a non-Twilight film this year. It didn't perform very well though. The Runaways brought in only $4.7 million. E!OnLine  Forbes recently released its list of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses, with Sandra Bullock nabbing the numero uno spot after raking in $58 million.

Naturally, we were most intrigued with the babe who rounded out the top 10...

Kristen Stewart finished off Forbes' list with a cool $12 mil and was the youngest leading lady by a long shot sitting pretty next to some of T-town's power femmes. Totally impressive!

Obviously Eclipse has made K.Stew very in demand, but if she didn't have the acting chops to boot, we doubt she'd be there.


Plus, we have a feeling thanks to two Breaking Dawn flicks coming up, she'll steadily be moving up this list.

I wonder where Rob placed with his $17M earnings in the list for actors?
In Forbes Power 100 (100 Most Powerful Celebrities in the World) list released this June, Rob was 50th and Kristen is 66th.

And Rob and Kristen also appeared in  Forbes List of Hollywood's Top Earning On-Screen Couples. They placed at #5 with $1.1B.

The third installment of “The Twilight Saga” premieres on Wednesday, but already Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are two of the world’s most powerful celebrities, according to Forbes Magazine.

The on-screen couple, who are rumored to be a pair off-screen as well, debut on the coveted list for the first time, with Robert taking spot #50 and Kristen trailing at #66.
Forbes  "The films also created three insanely popular movie stars: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Pattinson makes his debut on the Forbes Celebrity 100 this year in 50th place with $17 million in earnings. Most of that is from the Twilight films where he plays vampire Edward Cullen. But Pattinson also starred in the film Remember Me, which was a modest success at the box office, and he’ll appear in the film adaptation of Water for Elephants opposite Reese Witherspoon in 2011.

Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, also debuts on the list this year. Because Stewart has fewer non-Twilight projects than Pattinson (her only other recent work was in the tiny film The Runaways where she starred as Joan Jett) she earned $12 million between June 2009 and June 2010, ranking 66th on our list.

Both stars were paid relatively little for their initial work on the films but they have become indispensable to the Twilight franchise. That means they can both ask for pay raises for upcoming movies. The final book, Breaking Dawn, will be split into two films, which will give Stewart and Pattinson the opportunity to double their upfront pay for their final Twilight work.
