Reese Witherspoon Mentions Rob in New Interview

Photobucket
Entretenmento.R7 While doing promo for 'This Means War', Reese Witherspoon talked about Robert Pattinson, who she worked with in 'Water for Elephants'.

“He's great. And oh my God, so handsome!”

The actress praised Pattinson's effort to manage two jobs at the same time.“What surprised me was his dedication. He would film all weekend long, then spend the week on the Twilight [set], then another weekend filming, then more Twilight... And he still had that lightness, humility. He's very grateful for everything he's been living.”

Reese talks about Rob with the Daily Mail. "I know His Girlfriend really well."

Excerpts from Reese's new interview with the Daily Mail

"Their (Jacob and Marlena) romance develops against the odds – ‘Jacob kind of melts her heart,’ says Reese – and Marlena inevitably ends up in bed with him. ‘I’ve got to say it was a little disappointing,’ she laughs.

Rob had quite possibly the most hideous cold of any co-star I’ve ever had to do a love scene with. I was spraying the sanitiser trying not to get sick myself! We had a brother/sister kind of relationship,’ she adds.
I know his girlfriend (Twilight’s Kristen Stewart) really well, and he’s met my husband.’ (Reese married Hollywood agent Jim Toth in March.) It wasn’t the first time the pair had worked together, if you count Robert’s fleeting turn as Reese’s son in Vanity Fair. ‘I was 27 and he was 17,’ she smiles.
‘We didn’t really know each other very well.’ And the scene ended up on the cutting-room floor.

How times have changed! Obsessed admirers hovered around the Water for Elephants set in Piru, the small Californian town where much of the filming took place.
‘There were really young girls out until 4am, sitting on the roofs of cars holding signs (saying they loved him), waiting to see him. Where were their mothers?’ exclaims Reese, who has two children, 11-year-old Ava and seven-year-old Deacon, from her first marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe (of Gosford Park and Crash fame).
‘It is an incredible phenomenon. Rob and I were at a photo shoot together the other day and the photographers were saying, “Kiss him”, and I said, “Do you think I want to get killed? Women all over the world are going to kill me!” But you know,’ she says, ‘he’s actually as sweet and lovely as he seems on screen.’ I tell her that Robert paid her similar compliments when I met him recently, raving about her looks and personality.

Is Robert Pattinson really that pretty in real life?
He's not too bad, I know you're disappointed but it's the truth. He's smart, low profile and ultimately shy. He's really funny too, we couldn't stop laughing throught the whole shooting.

His hair is really short in this movie!
I know! All the Twilight fans are furious. What he's living right now, I've never seen that before in my life, and it happens wherever he goes. It's not just girls, either. I've seen 40 years old women screaming his name at the other end of the set, pressed against security fences.

Rob talks to Vogue About Reese

Interestingly, the elephant in the room turned out to be the least of anyone’s troubles. (As Pattinson puts it, “She was the most consistently professional creature I have ever worked with.”) It was the horses—two white Andalusians and two black Friesians—that turned out to be high-strung and unpredictable. “Reese grew up around horses,” says Lawrence, “and she owns a couple that she rides now, and even she was scared of them.” Says Witherspoon: “I’ve always been a little bit of a tomboy that way, so I just always enjoy the thrill of doing something dangerous.”

She got more than she wished for. Not only did she get thrown from a horse one day, Pattinson tells a story about shooting a scene in which one of the horses is lying down in a train car with Witherspoon curled up on the ground next to it when suddenly the horse jumped to its feet and stepped on her leg. “I could see in Reese’s face that it must have hurt more than anything, and she played it off like it was absolutely nothing,” says Pattinson. “And then the next day she had this enormous bruise. It could have quite easily broken her leg, but she didn’t mention it to anybody. She is just incredibly brave that way.”

Witherspoon’s toughness was one of the main reasons Lawrence cast her in the film. “What I liked is that there’s that determination, but there’s also a sense of humor and a sense of vulnerability. It must come from her family and upbringing. You sort of feel like if she sets her mind to something, it’s going to happen—nothing is going to get in her way. And that’s part of what keeps her interesting—and oddly a little dangerous.”

Pattinson, too, thinks there’s more to Witherspoon than meets the eye. “In terms of public perception, she’s thought of as America’s Sweetheart. And she kind of is in a lot of ways. But I think that she’s a lot bawdier than that, a lot more raucous. It did actually shock me to see that. She’s tough. You wouldn’t want to get into an argument with her at all.” He laughs.

You can always tell that she will be incredibly nice to anyone who’s not an idiot, but it’s always very clear that there’s a line you really shouldn’t cross.” (When I tell Witherspoon that Pattinson said this, her response is classic Reese: “Oh, yeah. I’m a little junkyard dog.”)

Rob's Interview with Series Fan Mag - France

Robert Pattinson. Elephants and women.
Translation by ToR Scan by gossip_dance via CrazyStewFrance

On April 20th 2011, Robert will share the big screen with the very charismatic Reese Witherspoon, in Francis Lawrence’s Water for Elephants. Filming took place last July. The 10 years that separate the young actor from the blond bombshell don’t seem to be a handicap, the chemistry worked.

Interviewer: You seem very close to your partner Reese Witherspoon…?
Rob: I’ve learned a lot from being in contact with her, she is very patient, she’s a major actress, she has much more experience than I, therefore it’s normal that I take the time to listen to her. Without her patience, filming probably wouldn’t have gone as well! We laughed a lot also, Reese has a great sense of humour, the atmosphere is serious but relaxed. We’ve remained friends and we continue to see each other. It’s was an important meeting in my carreer. Apparently she was already a Twilight fan so she didn’t have a negative view on my work. I hope we get to work together again soon!

Interviewer: Supposedly you were very close on set
Rob: Yes, once again those are rumours. The press seems to say that I’m in relationships with all my on-screen partners. If I really seduced all the girls I filmed with, I wouldn’t have any friends that are girls left! (Laughs). I think that in the case of Water for Elephants it’s linked to the story, it’s a love story. I assume that everyone imagines that the actors are really in love, that proves that we do our job well, that we’re credible. Now that Twilight filming has started again no one talks to me about my relationship with Reese Witherspoon. You’ll see, it will be the same for the movie I’ll film after! You know I’m much calmer then everyone thinks. It’s the Edward Cullen effect!

Interviewer: We’ve heard you’re more comfortable with elephants than with women?
Rob: (Laughs) It’s not exactly that no! In fact the magazine Details had organized a photoshoot a few months ago and I was surrounded by naked women. The photoshoot lasted for more that 12 hours. For any guy that might seem like a dream come true but in real life it was very embarrassing. As for elephants, it’s a whole other matter, for the movie we were put in contact with elephants and one of them lifted me off the ground and carried me with her trunk. It’s the most magical thing that’s ever happened to me! Personally, I don’t get the link between elephants and naked women. Maybe it’s journalists that have twisted thoughts? It’s not a very gentlemanly type of comparison! Elephants are a child’s dream, women are a whole other subject.

Note: From what I gathered this teen mag is gossip-y, so again, take the interview with a grain of salt. Oh my.

And Reese, a huge fan of the Twilight films, is amused that the Brit is now a moody vampire pin-up.

FemaleFirst Reese Witherspoon claims working alongside an elephant on new movie 'Water For Elephants' was one of the best experiences of her career.   Reese, 34, added the elephant helps bring her character closer to Robert Pattinson's in the film, when they meet because of the creature. "Robert Pattinson's character comes in and he's a vet and we end up being very interested in each other. It's very romantic and beautiful.

Reese and the Crew Talk about Tai. The New WFE Still in Better Quality (Not Scan)

LA TimesOn the last day of shooting "Water for Elephants," Reese Witherspoon was so upset that she broke down in tears. She hadn't been that saddened by a movie wrapping in years, the actress said, but she had become particularly attached to one costar: an 8,800-pound elephant named Tai.

"The day I had to say goodbye to her, I wept all day," Witherspoon admitted. "It was one of the most extraordinary filmmaking experiences of my life. You work with actors and directors, but to have this nonverbal complete relationship with an animal that we were all very connected to was very magical."

Based on a bestselling historical novel released in 2006, the film, due out April 22, centers on a former veterinary school student named Jacob ( Robert Pattinson), who falls for circus performer Marlena (Witherspoon). Because of the characters' shared affinity for the big top, both actors had to be comfortable interacting with a variety of animals — horses, camels, and, of course, elephants.

Before production began, director Francis Lawrence planned a meeting with the stars and Tai at the 10-acre Perris, Calif., elephant ranch where she lives.

"I'll be honest — I did use a trip down to see the elephants as a bit of bait for the actors," Lawrence joked.

It worked. Witherspoon felt so at ease with Tai that she quickly attempted an elaborate mount, in which the elephant lifted the actress with only its trunk.

Reese Admits that Rob is "Extraordinarily Attractive"

Reese Witherspoon became a household name in the late '90s with a string of scene-stealing turns in films like "Pleasantville" and "Election." Around the same time, Leonardo DiCaprio was transforming from teen heartthrob to mature Hollywood A-lister, thanks to the nearly $2 billion success of "Titanic."

Over a decade later, Witherspoon has been thinking back to that pop culture period. It's the only way she can make sense of the overwhelming popularity of her "Water for Elephants" co-star Robert Pattinson.

"The only thing I can compare it to is when Leo was in 'Titanic,' " she told MTV News while promoting her upcoming movie "How Do You Know." "It was that kind of fervor about a person. The women lining up outside the set — it was just unbelievable — till 5 o'clock in the morning waiting to just glimpse him."

The Tennessee set of "Water for Elephants" was basically no different than what happens when the "Twilight" vamp goes anywhere. As director Francis Lawrence told us in the fall, "[E]very day there would be, like, 50 people [staked out] ... . [T]here would be people camped out in the hallways of our hotel. All day, all night long, it didn't matter. People were there to try to catch a glimpse."

Witherspoon, of course, got an up-close-and-personal glimpse of RPattz, and she was happy to report back to us: "He is extraordinarily attractive. I'm not gonna lie," she said.

"Robert is such a great guy from a great family," she explained. "That's the thing that's so funny. He's not really this bad boy; he's just a great guy and really worked hard on 'Water for Elephants.'
He really worked long hours, long days. He looks totally different in the movie."

Reese Witherspoon Says "Rob is a very sensitive soul. Kristen is really sweet, too."

USA Today As a circus performer in the 2011 drama Water for Elephants, Reese Witherspoon gets in the ring with her film paramour, movie veterinarian Robert Pattinson.

"I'm not gonna lie. He's a very, very handsome man," Witherspoon tells USA TODAY's Donna Freydkin.

The two had co-starred in the 2004 costume drama Vanity Fair. And yes, times have changed for Pattinson, who's now a reluctant heartthrob thanks to the blockbuster Twilight movie series.

"The fervor and madness and girls waiting at 5 a.m. on a set in the middle of nowhere just to see him," recalls Witherspoon, of their shoot. "He's sweet and loving and has the nicest family. Kristen (Stewart, Pattinson's girlfriend) is really sweet, too. He's a very sensitive soul. He worked really hard. He looks great in the movie, too."

Her daughter Ava, 11, met Pattinson, but wasn't smitten because she hasn't read the books yet. Witherspoon thought she was too young. "I really liked them, me and all my 30-year-old friends! I love the books," she says.

As for Witherspoon, does she have it written into her contracts that all her costars have to be hunky males?

"I do. How did you find that out? Someone's gotta do it. It's like America's Test Kitchen, but for making out with hot co-stars. I do it for the girls. I love my job. They're all really good guys. And I know all their girlfriends," she smiles.
