TwiExaminer The nominees for the 2010 American Music Awards have just been announced, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is up for "Best Soundtrack"( Favorite Soundtrack)

Eclipse soundtrack contributors Muse and Vampire Weekend are also nominated for "Favorite Alternative Rock Artist." Muse contributed the song "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" to the Eclipse album, while Vampire Weekend added "Jonathan Low" to the soundtrack.

Last year, Twilight's soundtrack won "Favorite Album" in the 2009 American Music Awards, so be sure to vote for Eclipse so the album can win this year as well!

Eclipse faces off with Glee: The Music, Volume 3 The Showstoppers and Iron Man 2.

The live broadcast will take place at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21st (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC.

Eclipse Soundtrack Artisits to be Unveiled Tomorrow on MySpace...very slowly.

Last week, we learned that British rock lords Muse will return for a Twilight three-peat on the upcoming third soundtrack installment in as many movies for that obscure little book series (is it about werewolves? vampires? hobbits? We really can’t recall).

Anyhow, MySpace tells EW exclusively that they will unveil the full soundtrack roster for Twilight: Eclipse, beginning Wednesday, May 12, at 11am EST/8am PST … and continuing on for many hours, at the rate of one band reveal every half hour. (We will do our best to update you in real time here; you can also get the updates on Twitter via @MySpaceMusic).

Happy news from @Twilight about the Eclipse soundtrack!

"The first single on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" has just been confirmed and I get to bring you the exclusive details. Stephenie's very favorite band, Muse, has contributed a song called "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" and it's the first single from the project. It will be out on May 17th. I haven't heard it yet, but I am very excited. The official soundtrack will also be available on June 8th."  Seth from Stephenie Meyer's site

Amazon is now offering the Eclipse soundtrack for pre-order. There is no official track list yet but some of the rumored inclusions are Muse (The TwiSaga novel unofficial houseband?) and Florence and the Machine (thanx Twifans). Expected release date, more or less as per Twilight and New Moon soundtrack release date history will be late May or early June.
