Breaking Dawn P2 Trailer to Debut on March 23rd. Plus More Twilight?
TheHollywoodReporter Lionsgate executives on Friday did much to talk up the synergies between the two studios...the Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer will debut on every Hunger Games print on its theatrical opening on March 23 – Lionsgate’s largest ever theatrical release.
Possibility of Twilight 6? Rob Friedman. Summit co-founder and now Lionsgate exec says "It's A Go For 'Twilight 6,' Just Need Fifth Book." More on this after the CUT
TheHollywoodReporter The Summit co-founder and now Lionsgate exec said the indie studio will produce a sixth vampire flick if Stephenie Meyer writes another installment.
TORONTO - Will there be a Twilight 6? That depends on getting a fifth book out of Twilight writer Stephenie Meyer, Lionsgate motion picture group co-chair Rob Friedman said Friday, giving hope to Twi-hards everywhere.
“If she (Meyer) wishes to do it, we’ll be there to support her” with a sixth film, said Friedman, who now runs the Lionsgate movie division with Patrick Wachsberger after the duo sold Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the Twilight franchise, to Lionsgate in January as part of a $412.5 million leveraged buy-out.
Friedman was participating in his first Lionsgate analyst call after the indie studio missed on its third quarter earnings Thursday, but insisted it was bullish about the future now that it has swallowed privately-held Summit and its Twilight franchise.
Lionsgate in recent weeks has also talked about a sixth Twilight movie after projecting the upcoming Breaking Dawn Part 2 release will bring in $700 million-plus in worldwide box office, which should invite a follow-up film.
Lionsgate executives on Friday did much to talk up the synergies between the two studios now that the brain trust behind the Twilight franchise is at work on the launch of the next possible vampire flicks franchise once The Hunger Games debuts next month.
For example, the Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer will debut on every Hunger Games print on its theatrical opening on March 23 – Lionsgate’s largest ever theatrical release.
Changes, however, are afoot as Lionsgate integrates Summit. Summit releases its own films on DVD through Universal Studios, while Lionsgate DVD titles go out through 20th Century Fox.
Lionsgate president Steve Beeks told analysts he will look to consolidate the home entertainment distribution over time.
But Friedman and Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer stressed in answers to analysts Friday that both studios shared similarities and that consistency would be maintained going forward.
“We don’t see a lot of dramatic changes. We just see a great combination,” Friedman said.
LATimes The trailer for the fifth and final "Twilight" movie, "Breaking Dawn Part 2," will debut exclusively on "The Hunger Games" in March -- the first significant example of synergy between Lions Gate Entertainment and its new subsidiary Summit Entertainment.
When the studio acquired Summit in January, Lions Gate executives touted the opportunities that would come from bringing together two of Hollywood's hottest young adult franchises. Because fans tend to get excited about seeing the first trailer for a highly anticipated sequel, Lions Gate is betting it can bring the huge base of "Twilight" fans to the opening weekend of "The Hunger Games," which debuts March 23.
"'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' trailer will debut exclusively on every 'Hunger Games' print on its opening night for what will be Lions Gate's largest release ever," Santa Monica-based Lions Gate's chief executive Jon Feltheimer said on a conference call with analysts Friday following the release of its financial results.

fifth book? really? Jacob and Renesmee or midnight sun?
Kofi not convinced about this one, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
cannot see them continuing with the films, sequels are very rarely good.
hey, what about the MMA's, best kiss and new trailer? hellllllllllllllp
OMG, the trailer of part 2!! I didn't expect it that early...
Wow, I really can't wait to see it!! And that tongue-kissy-pic at the sidebar (at which I'm staring right now) brings me already totally in the mood. Vampire sex, the cottage, the first hunt, mummy and daddy moments, the battle..! Let's bring it all!
Woohoo, great great news!!
eehhmmmm....nice article S! but aaa...next twilight will be edward and bella at carribean with 5/6 kids...lol
@lala That was before the Lionsgate's takeover. lol We're playing to new rules now.
yes S, and i do not like the game, lol.
i loved the hunger games book, but for some strange reason i am not looking forward to the movies. and now they hit us with this, hmmmmmmmm gonna go make myself a cuppa.
@lilly I like your version better haha. I think Friedman was just teasing the press they know its all done and no way SM will write more, well def not about EB. She said she's done with them. And no way RK will reprise their roles. :D
@lala As if that will be a problem. Trailer will be posted online anyway. lol
Was so afraid of this. Rob and Kristen are getting to old to play these characters and am sure they would play a small roll if any in the next movie.
We all thought Summit was bad well this is so much worse. I did not want to hear this.
Anybody want to take bets that they replace Rob and Kristen for the next movie?
I'm with Kofi..would like to see a Jacob/Renessmee story though :)
I dont think they have replace kristen, she is so small =) think she can play the role of bella for a couple of more years. Rob is getting older, dont know if he can play edward again. I am hoping for an Jackob and Reneseme story, or maybe "what if" with bella choosing jackob LOL..
Dont like that the trailer will show at the hungers game premiere, suchs. I want to see it at MTV movie awards. I will not see THG, just bc i love Twilight and kristen/Rob doest meant I have to love the hungers game. Twilight came from now where and got famous, i LOVE that, a little movie that became world famous, so cool..
Kofi disagrees Lisa, lol. nah when a story becomes saturated its time to leave it. as for the actors, i think it would be a bad move career wise to continue with the sequels. its already a struggle for them as it is.
@Renae You're just being funny right? lol
Yeah, try to replace R/K and make another Twilight. The perfect way to ruin everything.
R/K were like the best casting choice possible. Please don't ruin it all.
@lilly: Edward and Bella at the Carribean with 5/6 kids. Now that's a nice image you got into my head! :) Especially remembering Rob's words about the last scenes he shot with Kristen.
@ Renae There you have it Lionsgate have missed the whole point of this fandom and the reasons why We all loved the Franchise . The execs that think they can manipulate all responses to their advantage underestimate the intelligence of the fanbase for the Twilight phenomenon We are now in 2012 and the original who ha for all this was 4 years ago Whilst the original response may have in the very early days been mostly teenage girls That is most definitely not the majority now and the bucks earned from BD 1 and the soon to be DVD are hard earned bucks from more mature ladies I resent the inference that we would watch anything just because it will be labelled Twilight Four years is unheard of in terms of dedication and we will take that dedication forward to the future for Rob and Kristen and that will truly be a phenomena
ahhhh you got us Catniss S, lol, ok i like the poster.
nobody understands this fandom peeps,lol.
so many lurkers on the blogs and twitter, but not the right ones am afraid. if only they could see what we like, ahhhhhhhhhhhh. well to late now.
OMG!!! I think these all too early..after BD1 DVD release tomorrow and then BD2 trailer comes out next month..I mean, they're kind of too rush for showing trailer of BD2 after only 4 months BD1 came out in theater :/
event tho I'm very very very excited to see BD2 trailer but still, i think that's too early.
i don't like the idea of they will showing BD2 trailer at THG premiere. i think that so obvious that Lionsgate use Twilight saga's fame for get more attention for THG.
Yes, agree with Anonymous 12:14 PM, I want to see it at MTV movie awards like previous years.
another Twilight movie?! I will kill Lionsgate if they ruined our Twilight saga or turn Twilight saga into a tv series!
Oh I don't think so! Any true fan would riot against a casting change just so some stupid corporate execs can cash in. R/K will not reprise the roles, Kristen especially has mentioned over and over how she feels good and complete with the series. I posted somewhere else about Rob being the perfect match as Edward and no one could possibly come close to being Bella if they tried. Sorry about the rant, but they are talking about messing with something near and dear. You just don't go there.
Can't wait for the trailer! As far as another Twilight, why ruin a good thing.
Stephanie isn't going to write another book, although I'm still hopeful she will eventually finish Midnight Sun. Even if she did, I think Rob and Kristen are ready to move on and do other things. The folks at Lionsgate are just dreaming if they think they can continue to make more movies. Without Rob, Kristen, and Stephanie, there is no Twilight.
I am glad we finally get to see a preview of BD2 BUT a 5or 6th book UHM I think it's too much. I mean you've already milked the cow for what is worth, yes we would like to see more but like most of you all said RPatz & Kstew are getting pretty old to play those characters. Maaayyybee I can possibly see something with Jacob and Reneesme but without her parents, doesn't seem right?
Aw, can't they just let the series end as it is? Yes the final movie could earn hundreds of millions plus the DVD/blueray earnings. Isn't that enough? Why can't they be happy w/ that? To me it's time to move on to other movies. Everyone seems to of already said goodbye to these characters. How about starting a petition to not have 6th movie?
the article just blatantly said that the only reason bd pt 2 trailer will be debuting in front of hunger games is so that twilight fans will contribute to the hunger games earnings. so far, i am not liking the fact that lionsgate bought summit. has anyone noticed that there has only been l real trailer for the hunger games and just 1 or 2 1 minute snippets? they're not promoting the film right and i hope that they don't promote bd pt 2 the same way. i really want to see rob and kristen at the promotional tour. i'm a creature of habit. i enjoyed that the twilight trailers premiered at the mtv movie awards. i am not liking this change at all.
I never liked Jacob's character, will not watch a Renesmee-Jacob story.
I'm with @lala on this one: no forced sequels please. I'm definitely not the kind of fan Lionsgate is hoping to cash in on. I couldn't even finish reading BD!
Thank goodness for Condon/Rosenberg/Robsten on that one, imho. And now I'm excited to see the BD II trailer in just over a month! I wonder if the Target clip will float the web tonight...
Tanya
I think we all need to calm down a bit. I'm sure this exec was asked a question because another guy somewhere shot off his mouth about Twilight during the "merger" essentially talking about it being a cash cow & they would love to milk it for all it's worth with future movies and/or TV. I think Stephenie has proved she is not going to be forced into anything that would compromise her writing and her love for these characters. Prime example is her putting the chapters of Midnight Sun on her website. Essentially all this Friedman guy said was if Stephenie Meyer writes it, we will film it. To me that's a Duh no brainer. Pfft as if they would turn her away! Even if any future Twilight films only make half of what the current have, it would be considered a success. And although E/B have said they are done with the series, they have also said they feel very propietary over their characters so who knows if a new SM created Twiproject were to be filmed, I'm sure they would figure something out whether it be a cameo or more central role. I mean they were able to make K look emaciated in BD1 & age Mackenzie Foy up and down many years for BD2. So if you ask me, nothing is impossible, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
As for missing having the BD2 trailer premiere at the MTV Movie Awards, I'm sure we will get something at the awards show. It's a tradition that I'm sure MTV will not want to let go because it draws in the viewers. I think New Moon was an "exclusive clip" not a trailer at that year's awards. So again, I wouldn't worry.
I rather that stephanie finnish midnight sun and just let it be. but on a more positive note i am thrilled to have bd pt. 2 trailer debut but ill watch it online. but i hope the Hg fans will be happy
I like where @Fra is headed with this... Maybe just Robsten at the beach, doing whatever they feel like for two hours. I'd watch it! it would be like a live-action commentree!
Important Elements, (other than the gutter-obvious):
1)arguments over the cooking channel being on during Rob's favorite reality programs
2)a middle eastern foodtruck where Kristen can coat her shawarma with hot sauce, much to Rob's dismay
3)a full 15 minutes of Bear time
4)ten minutes of Rob driving somewhere (need some terror/suspense)
anything I'm missing?
-Tanya
aw S, I want Midnight Sun so badly...I have to know Edward's thoughts on everything...esp. "the good stuff",lol...@Lisa, nope...I want to see a Nahuel&Renesmee story...or @least read one...yep, give Jacob a run for his money I say,haha...give him a taste of his own "love triangle" medicine,LOL!!!...Tanx for Katniss' poster S...looking forward to Hunger Games & our favorite Vamps' Trailer...yipp-ee VampBella & the freaky-deaky @last:)///||\\\
Why bother with the sequel, all they ( Lionsgate) have to do is film Rob and Kristen for 60-90 minutes talk to each other or just stare at each other and it will be the blockbuster of the year. It could be something like "He is soo into you"
I guess I just miss seeing them together
What do they mean by largest theatrical release?
As much as I would loooove more movies...it needs to be done. SM won't make anymore, and they shouldn't even do it about J/R. It wouldn't do well w/ critics, and they all need to move on.
We can just all hope that a few years from now they do another movie together....:) (r/k and or t...)
I know we all won't stop dreaming about a new Twilight book, but it's not going to happen.
...but I COULD see Lion's Gate paying Stephanie off for the characters - and then going ahead and making new stories/movies without her (and Kristen, Rob, Taylor etc..)
It's all about the money, Honey.
What?
WTF are they talking about>
I don't think R and K would agree to another, I don't know if Taylor would, maybe I'm wrong but they seem to be done with it. I for one would not be too keen on seeing any more, leave it alone.
Don't ruin it.
The Hunger Games just pulled in a lot of The Twilight's Fans to watch the movie so we can see the trailer. Gosh, they know how the way to get more $$.
personally, since first I don't like Summit merge with Lionsgate. Because they did it only for money reason.
I think lionsgate have this version/thoughts to persuade us to watch THG because Breaking Dawn trailer will be shown.lol
Even though I really love Twilight and eager to see BD part 2. I'll wait what's on the internet for the next few days
or months because I'm not interested on THG.
And as for the sequel. Hmmmmmm
@Lise Are there other reasons? Business is all about money bb.
Lots of interesting points you raise there, guys. I'm just gonna say that I think SM would be tempted to further Jacob and Renesme's story (I think she hinted that much in an interview) but no more EB. Maybe in that movie they would make a cameo just for the sake of participating but no more than that...
Good night from (one-step-before-defaulting-everyone's-so-worried-here) Greece
So excited for the trailer!! Though, I'm not sure if I'm happy with a 6th movie... Don't get me wrong, there'll be more robsten (I guess) and that's awsum1 but Twilight does not make them look like serious actors. They are and they get (serious) roles, but they often are seen as "the actors of twilight, and that's it" and this definitly will go on for a few years (unfortunately) making a sicth movie will make it last even longer, and I don't want that for them. Besides, I don't think they'll agree with making another one...
Well I hate the fact that, they want to preview breaking dawn part 2 with hunger games. This is just to get the twilight crowd in.
Hopefully people won't fall for it. I personally dislike the hunger games books and have no intention of ever seeing any.
In the same breadth, want to see the breaking dawn preview, well hopefully will be online.
I wouldn't worry too much about any of it. I just can't see any of it happening. SM hasn't even finished Midnight Sun, I just can't picture her writing a completely new Twilight book before that is done. And what would motivate her to even do another book....she left the series where she wanted it. If she had wanted to continue on, she would have done it by now or at least mentioned it, I would think. She has enough money to be able to say no to projects that she doesn't want to do, and I just can't imagine carrying the series further would appeal to someone who has repeatedly said this is the last installation. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought SM owns those characters, so some random person can't just write a screenplay or script without her permission and carry the series on without her...so I don't think we have anything to worry about. Lionsgate is just wishing they had been in on this from the beginning.
That being said, I've always thought an epilogue set in the future showing us where everyone is and what they're doing would be so cool.
As far as to whether R/K would be willing to be involved in this theoretical project, I think they've moved on. And we all know Twilight just doesn't work without them ;) Of course, since a lot of big popular movies are eventually remade, I wouldn't be surprised to see a remake of Twilight sometime in the far-away future. But it will never compare to the original :)
And can I just say I am SO EXCITED for THG!! More movies coming out this year that I want to see than any other year in a very long time!
I know how LionsGate could make a buch of cash....wait for it....are you thinking what I am thinking....give us Rob and Kristen's audtion on Catherine's bed and all of the hot out takes from Breaking Dawn and you will make a fortune. Anyone agree?
Don't make another Twilight just release those goodies.
The only way they might get some sexiness into THG is if they do put Breaking Dawn Pt.2 on as the trailer. Super disappointed in the male casting of THG.
I don't need to see Jacob and Renessme so much. I have to say I would def go see R/K if they did another. Do we need it? Not really,no.
You guys have all said it all. For me, Twilight ends with BD2 just as SM wanted it too. Edward and Bella are always gonna be Rob and Kristen and that's it. I cannot watch or support anything else, no series and no more movies. It makes me sick in my stomach just hearing about all this money making business. Please just let it end as it was supposed to be!
ughh...we have to watch hunger games to see the twilight trailer!I just want to watch the trailer!!!!
@Jess Just to be clear I don't allow Ted's shit in here. Thanks for your comment anyway.
I say let the Saga rest in peace, show it some respect and let it go with dignity. There are some film series that needs to be left alone.
If Summit/Lionsgate wants to make a ton more money... put all those damn extra's that is left on the cutting room floor and sell them. I would buy. Leave Bella/Edward and their daughter alone. Let Kristen and Robert move on to other things.
Make a film with Emmett/Rosalie,Jasper/Alice and see what happen!
And to post on the original topic, I hate that Lionsgate is advertising/marketing HGs the same way as Twilight. The HG cast even did a spread in Vanity Fair that looks like the same spot that the Twilight cast did theirs in. I read the first HG book and just can't get into it, and I can't stand Jennifer
Lawrence. I'm not planning on watching HG. I'll wait till the BD2 trailer hits the web.
I hate that Lionsgate is using the Twilight fanbase to try and gain a bigger fanbase for THG. I think a lot of fans of THG hate the twilight franchise anyway, and fans of twilight hate fans of THG who hate on twilight. I don't think this merge by Lionsgate and Summit was a wise decision. Just because I am a fan of twilight does not mean I am a fan of THG. My speculation is that THG will barely be successful at the box office. And I don't want to see the trailer that early yet. I feel like they are over-exposing Rob, Kristen, and Taylor.
@RobStenation What do you think I am being funny about them replacing Rob and Kristen?
It's not going to make money,if Bella/Edward will not be the main characters for the 5th book. And also if Kris/Rob will not be in movie.
@lala,you're right their really milking the cow.LOL.
@Renae Bec you made it sound like RK are at their mercy for the roles when in reality they're both done with E/B and ready to move on to other projects.
It's all about the freaking money, fact. But I don't think its gonna happen. At all.
I'd like to see more of the Voltaire. I loved Michael Sheen. The whole collecting vampires with special powers sounded like an opening for a spinoff series of books, which could still include the Cullen's & the werewolves.
They would be stupid to try and make another film, as much as we all want another book and for the series to continue, i would rather the movies end comfortably with BDP2. I'm personally not a fan of Jacob and hate how he imprinted on Renesmee, so i wouldn't be interested in a continue of the series from there POV. Twilight was Edward and Bella's story and it should end that way.
Also the trailer of Part 2 at the beginning of HG is a typical marketing ploy for the movie to get more viewers from an already established fanbase. THG will not be as successful as Twilight and the comparisons to it are just insulting. Twilight has sold over 100 million books worldwide, HG only over 16 million - that's a big difference! And to put in some context Girl with the dragon tattoo has a superior fanbase (over 60 million books worldwide), superior books (i can read the hunger games but there not that well written, or as captivating and anything below an R-rating will severely destroy any appeal - something i know the film won't be) and yet that movie - the english version didn't, do as well at the box office at it was projected to. The team behind Hunger Games - i also can't stand Jennifer Lawrence, especially with her comments about Kristen, are setting this movie up for a big fail in my opinion. They need to gross over 100 million to greenlight a sequel. And something else that is simply a money making decision is for them to already come out and say that they will split the last book mockingjay into two films. Stupid move. HP and Twilight could accomplish that task because of the fanbase and most importantly because of the books. Mockingjay is not a strong enough book, to warrant a split movie, and the story itself doesn't need it. Mockingjay is only 390 pages and can be easily told over one 2 hour movie. The split is simply for money just as the decision behind putting the BDP2 trailer before THG is. It's also laughable that there discussing and planning the rest of the book adaptations before the first film has even be released.
I won't be paying money for the hunger games just to see the trailer, no matter how badly i want to. I'd rather wait for online.
ok, I agree with SM,Rob&Kris and others...I'm very very happy where the series ended..it feels complete. I am not interested in anything else Twilight after BD2 is out...on to all of Rob&Kristen's fun NEW projects. Good luck to the money grabbing execs at Lionsgate!
I think I am the only person on earth that saw many appealing exciting angles to continue the book series and keep B/E central characters. (and they didnt focus on Jacob either) Oh well. I must have too vivid of an imagination, but I am also the person that probably wouldnt get bored watching or reading about how their lives together with their family and friends played out. I just watched their wedding video for goodness sake and felt like I was watching a family video. So I may easily be classified crazy or obsessed, but who gets tired of true love or the pictures in the side bar of this blog.
Bella and Edward live in a supernatural environment and forever. So MANY things could happen. Also, although B&E were always the center of the stories,I was pulled in by many of the characters and I created stories for the other characters as I was reading. I even imagined a storyline to keep Kristen and Robert in the parts of Bella and Edward, despite the aging, for potential future movies and they would still be the main characters, but in a different capacity. Ok I am going to therapy after rereading this, but I feel like being brave and posting it any way (anonymously of course, because I am not that brave and dont want to be attacked)
When listening to interviews, I dont think Stephenie sounds like she is even a little bit interested in continuing the series and I would also have to agree that the actors probably do not want to return to this series. So, I guess if everyone is done with the series, I will be happy with the ending or be content with imagining the possibilites in my own head.
@RobStenation Actually I was trying to be funny. If there was another Twilight film LionsGate would have to beg for R/K to come back to do it and even if it wasn't E/B centered they might still have to beg for them to go anywhere near another movie.
Trust me, I know that R/K are done with the Twilight series however I thought in some interview didn't Kristen saw something about if there was another movie made she would consider it...or am I dreaming there...LOL.
Sorry you took it the wrong way that was not my intention at all.
Didn't Rob and Kristen mention in some interview that they would be willing to do another Twilight movie? If it was something written by Stephanie Meyer, I think they would. Working on Twilight films has not hurt R or
K's career. They have been able to always do another non-Twilight film in between and go back to Twilight. I am sure if it was a good script, they would do it. Plus didn't Kristen say she would love working with Rob and Jacob again.
I agree with everyone else about not watching the BDP2 trailer with HG movie. I want to see it at MTV Awards.
@Renae So you were trying to be funny lol I just took it the way you stated it. Its all good.
Anon 5:42,
I completely agree. I don't think that THG will get near Twilight's box office profit. Box office online is estimating that HG will get around $50 million opening day and $200 million total domestic run... Compare that to Twilight's $70 million opening and $392 million total domestic. It's just not in the same category as Twilight.
After I've read almost every comment I have almost the same thought as all of you, which is, it is a bad idea to have a 6th movie after BD part 2. I mean sure we will somehow feel sad once we're out from the cinema thinking that 'that's the end', but really, a 6th movie? I'm not sure that a 100% twilight fan would even agree to this. As for the trailer of BD part 2 at THG's movie maybe for some of you it's too quick but for me I think it's really nice which of course when you put the making money thinking aside. I just hope that both THG's movie and MMA will be showing different clip of BD part 2 with the intention to please the fans and plus it's the end of the series which makes it more special.
As for the actors I don't think they'll just say 'yes' right away when being asked about another movie for twilight since they've said their good-bye's and that what's done is done.
I agree with @lawsy89, when said about THG's movie cut into two with the mockingjay. I mean it's a 390 pages how can it be split into two, wherein breaking dawn and harry potter and the deathly hallows have a good reason to have the movie split into two. I guess that's when the business mind comes in...
Just to be fair to both twilight and hunger games fans, I think both of these novels have a strong fan base, without having to promote each other's movie together I'm sure fans will be watching it with their own will. As for blockbuster I'm sure Hunger Games will be big since almost every magazines, gossip blog sites know what's going to happen in the near future. They're even more prepare now after what happened to the very first year of Twilight. So yeah, after Twilight it's going to be Hunger Games era, just like what happened with Harry Potter and Twilight.
I haven't read the 3 novels of the hunger games series but I think comparing twilight and THG will not bring any good to both fan base :)
comment how many of US have all 3 of the movies on DVD and are eagerly awaiting BD part 1 This time in 2013 we will have the BD part2 to complete our collections? How often have you seen them either individually or together ? I know i have lost count Twilight and New Moon maybe 40 or 50 times already Eclipse not so much !(not that fond of David Slades slant on the book) I tend to skip thru certain parts which I would never do with Twilight or New Moon I think Bill Condon did a fantastic job with BD Point is we have this complete experience of all 5 films FOREVER !!! enough said we dont need anymore !
Totally agree @Crystal without Rob/Kristen there is no Twilight, and whether Robsten will do another one remains to be seen and what would they even do it on? The story is finished although its sad, i'd rather they stopped where it is meant to than attempt to make something out of nothing just for the money..
Urgh.. although Summit did do things fans found annoying they did consider their fans.. I have a feeling Lionsgate will not.
I mean already they are putting the Twilight trailer before the hunger games so fans of twilight will go and see the hunger games.
I hope they do keep the promo at least the same.. I mean i would hate to see Robsten not at the mtv awards, and i hope they are at comic con again. this year.. and the premiere's and world promo this year, I hope they are together if they can be, as it's the final one..
I hope a lot of things, most of all I hope Lionsgate don't screw everything up just because they are so greedy! I mean they already have the hunger games this year, that is going to make quite a bit. Right I am shutting up. Lol
LionsGate really needs to watch what they do because as a fanbase we can be very wonderful and supporting but if you cross us and do the wrong thing with what we love we can turn on them just like that.
It's not a great combination, lionsgate. It's making money, we know it! And getting more crowd on your "biggest" theatrical release.
I wonder how many twilight fans will fall for their trick!
I will not be seeing THG just to see the BD trailer. I just hope twilight fans will not fall for their trick. I don't like Jennifer L. well b/c i don't get her well whatever. I guess i'll wait for the trailer to hit online.
Personally, I am more inclined to not see the HG knowing that there is a ploy to get me there. We've had to wait over a year for BD2 and I'm getting real, real good at waiting. I might even like the surprise of not having seen all the good parts of BD2 before I go to the theater this time.
I also think if another Twi story is made, Stephanie should write the book first, see how that is received by fans ... not how many are purchased ... but rather how the fans respond to the book, and then decide if they want to make another movie. I'd support the present Twi cast again one way or another. If they chose to move on with their careers and not do the film ... I'd support that decision 100%. It's a risk to do another movie and have it take down the beauty of the completed series. Good story first...then movie!
Does anyone of you notice the Twilight Saga facebook page? There is a promo, or what so ever about The hunger gamess!! I was like "what"????
I mean I don't want to be rude but really???
It's really something is not good. Lionsgate is tooooo being stupid, greedy of something.
Maybe the books were really good (THG) but it's really not good to say The hunger games will be phenomenon.
And it's not reasonable or justified to be split in two films on their last series. Are they kidding. It's not 700 pages, unlike Harry Potter and Twilight.
